Lucifer timidly approached the reception desk, even when he had arrived there, he still didn't know what to say to the receptionist that was standing in front of him. The judging gazes from the people around him made Lucifer a little embarrassed and anxious.
But the receptionist in front of Lucifer was totally different from the other people. Even though Lucifer seemed to be quite poor, he still treated Lucifer like a VIP.
It could be seen that this receptionist was very well trained.
"Sir, do you need me to do anything for you?"
Lucifer took a deep breath, regaining his usual composure. Then, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the room card that Owen had given him before he left to park his car.
The receptionist looked at the card for a long time, then his face turned extremely shocked and bewildered.
He quickly left the desk and brought Lucifer to the elevator. The way he welcomed Lucifer was like welcoming a king, an important person. It felt quite comfortable.
Perhaps Lucifer had started to get addicted to this feeling.
"Mr. Owen called us just now and said that if anyone gave his room card to the receptionist, we should take that person to his room. So you are the person Mr. Owen mentioned, right?" The receptionist asked while the two were in the elevator, waiting for it to reach the top floor.
"Yes, that's right."
"If that's the case, then you must also be a person who has awakened the system, right?"
"Ah, yes."
"That's great! I rarely meet an awakened person. This is a great honor for me!"
The receptionist seemed to be a very energetic and lively person. He kept talking to Lucifer without giving him time to rest.
Lucifer didn't hate lively people, but people who were this lively made him a little uncomfortable. They talked too much without caring about what the other person was thinking.
However, Lucifer could still tolerate this receptionist.
Although he only answered perfunctorily and indifferently, the receptionist just kept talking to him without paying any attention to it.

The elevator finally stopped on the 89th floor, but this was not Lucifer's destination yet. To get to Owen's residence, he would have to go upstairs through a hidden staircase.
And of course, the receptionist would lead him there.
Together, they went upstairs, which was Owen's house and where Lucifer would be living for the time being. Lucifer was extremely excited to see the interior.
He knew that the inside of this house would be a million times nicer than his room in the slums, but he still couldn't help but be excited to go inside.
The receptionist handed Lucifer his room card and bid him farewell. Leaving Lucifer standing alone in front of the door to enter the house.
Without hesitation, Lucifer swiped the card on the lock just like the receptionist had instructed. Immediately after, a click sounded and the door slowly opened.
The first thing he saw was a wide hallway. This hallway alone was several times wider than his room in the slum.
Along that hallway were many doors leading to different rooms, all of which were of course tightly closed. Except for one door at the end of the hallway, which was opened, revealing a glowing room behind the door. It was probably the living room.
Lucifer quickly took off his tattered shoes and gradually walked towards the living room in excitement and anticipation.
'Wow, this is amazing!'
That was what Lucifer thought when he first saw this living room.
This was not only a living room but also a kitchen and a dining room. This room was extremely spacious, Lucifer had never seen a room this massive before.
This place was even larger than Lucifer's base in the first Trial.
On the walls were a series of strange-looking paintings that made no sense. But when he saw the price of them, Lucifer had to swear to himself that he would never dare to touch those paintings ever again.
Perhaps killing him wouldn't be enough to buy a painting like this.
The furniture in this room was also extremely modern and clean. Perhaps it was cleaned regularly.
'So this is the style of the rich.'
In the distance was an extremely wide sofa that looked really cozy and comfortable. In front of the sofa was a large and high quality television. It was probably at least several times larger than this dining table.
Sitting on that sofa was a girl with short black hair with red ends and prominent red eyes, giving her a mysterious aura. She looked very cold but also very charming.
It seemed like the girl was not an extrovert at all.
That girl was wearing a black pajamas, holding a huge box of ice cream in her hand and was glued to the TV.
That box of ice cream looked so delicious that it made Lucifer feel hungry even though he had just had dinner with Owen a while ago.
'Wait! This is not the time to think about food! Why is there a girl in this house!? Owen didn't tell me anything about this! How should I behave in front of this girl?'
Lucifer had barely met a girl in his entire life. Most of the people he met in the slums were just trashy, assholes.
This was the first, no, second time he had met a girl who wasn't just some random passerby.
That's why he was super embarrassed, he didn't know what to say to that girl. Lucifer's ability to behave in front of girls could be considered quite bad, if not extremely bad.
It seemed like that girl didn't even notice Lucifer's existence. She was still calmly putting spoonfuls of ice cream into her mouth and attentively watching a program on TV.
'Should I call her? But then I wouldn't know what to say to her.'
Fortunately, the door to the house opened once again. There, a man with long pink hair and a pink bodysuit named Owen was leisurely walking in.
He was humming a tune as he walked. It sounded quite pleasant.
Seeing Lucifer in the living room, his face became much more cheerful:
"Hey Lucifer, you've successfully entered the house? I thought you'd get lost somewhere. It turns out the receptionists here are quite well-trained."
Lucifer immediately forgot about the girl's existence, he only focused on replying to Owen:
"Yeah. The receptionist that took me here was really nice and friendly."
At some point, the girl with black hair had appeared right next to him and Owen. She was looking at Lucifer with cold eyes, as if she was looking at something strange.
"Oh right, I forgot to tell you, this girl is Reina. She had awakened the system in the same year as you. So you two should get closer!" Owen said.
