Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Unexpected Personality

After learning that the girl's name was Reina, Lucifer immediately bowed to her, acting as friendly and polite as possible. First impressions were very essential, so he couldn't leave a bad impression in the girl's eyes.

"Hello, I'm Lucifer. Nice to meet you."

Just like Owen said, Lucifer needed to know a lot of people so that he could work with them to pass the 2nd Trial. That way, his chances of survival would be much higher.

Lucifer would try to make Reina his first friend.

"I'm Reina. Nice to meet you." Reina also replied politely.

It could be seen that Reina was quite a friendly person, a good person.

Lucifer smiled in his heart. He thought that he had found a good friend. This was also the first time he had someone to call a friend. And this friend was even a girl.

"Lucifer, let me introduce Reina. She is a member of the Shadow Vipers clan. One of the most famous clans not only in this country but also in the world. And I can be considered as Reina's relative. Currently, Reina is coming to my place to train, preparing for the 2nd Trial."

Lucifer was startled, he glanced at Reina in panic. He never expected that the person standing next to him was one of the members of the strongest and most famous clan.

Even if Lucifer lived in the slums, he still knew about the power and the popularity of the Shadow Vipers clan. This proved how influential they were.

Maybe now Lucifer would have to treat Reina with more respect. Maybe he should treat her like a princess, or even a queen.

After that, Owen went into the bathroom, leaving Lucifer and Reina in the living room together.

Sure enough, right after Owen left, the two of them did not say a word to each other. The atmosphere between them gradually became more awkward, at least that was what Lucifer thought.

Lucifer stared at Reina, wondering if he should talk to her or not.

Looking closely, Reina was indeed very beautiful. This girl was even more gorgeous than all the women Lucifer had seen many, many times. He had never met anyone as beautiful as her.

While Lucifer was still gazing at the girl's beauty, Reina suddenly said something that Lucifer could never have imagined:

"What are you looking at, you pervert? Do you want to die?" Her voice was mixed with a bit of contempt.

Lucifer was almost frozen. He didn't know if the person who had just spoken was Reina or not.

"Really, why did Uncle Owen suddenly bring such a person to the house? How troublesome."

That statement definitely came from Reina's mouth.

"Hey, why do your clothes look so old and tattered? Don't tell me you're from the slums? How could someone like that appear in this house?"

Lucifer's mouth was wide open in surprise. He couldn't believe that a person's personality could change at such a rapid pace.

Lucifer also gradually felt a little uncomfortable with Reina's insults, although he was very familiar with those insults, but somehow Reina made him feel more uncomfortable than usual.

Lucifer wanted to say something back to the girl but then decided not to. He was very good at hiding his emotions.

Seeing that Lucifer didn't react, Reina added:

"Do you know that your body gives off a foul smell? Do people living in the slums always have to bathe in sewage and sleep with garbage? You make me really uncomfortable."

Lucifer gritted his teeth, trying not to get mad even though he really wanted to punch Reina.

'Calm down Lucifer. I've been through much worse things than this. This much is nothing to me!'

"This house has two bathrooms. The second bathroom is over there, you should go take a bath now. And feel free to use the shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom as well." Reina pointed to a closed door in the hallway.

Lucifer was immediately frozen once again. Reina's personality had changed again. Perhaps Reina wasn't as bad of a person as Lucifer thought.

But he quickly regretted his thoughts after hearing Reina continue:

"Someone like you wouldn't be able to bathe in such a luxurious place, right? Don't steal the expensive things in there."

Lucifer couldn't stand it anymore. He was feeling very angry and resentful. He couldn't pretend like he didn't hear what Reina said anymore.

Lucifer immediately glared at Reina and yelled at the girl:

"Hey you multi-personality girl, I've been holding back for too long! Will you stop now? You are making me really upset, you know?"

After being yelled at by Lucifer, Reina did not stop but continued to curse Lucifer, even cursing him even more horrible than before:

"What's wrong with you, poor guy? What's wrong with me treating a slum dweller like you like this? You should feel lucky that Uncle Owen helped you, you idiot!"

"Hey you bitch, why do you have to curse me like that? Don't think I don't dare to hit you because you're a girl."

Lucifer raised his middle finger at Reina.

Reina also immediately raised her middle finger at Lucifer:

"You can beat me? Are you stupid? No matter what happens, you can't beat me, you idiot!"

"What kind of girl is cursing so much? I can't believe I ever wanted to be your friend!"

"Fuck friends. I'll never be friends with a slum dweller like you!" Reina smiled contemptuously.

Just then, the door to the living room opened and Owen walked in in his pajamas. He looked refreshed after taking a bath.

"Are you done bathing?" Reina asked softly.

Lucifer looked at Reina with a surprised gaze, he was speechless. The girl who had just quarreled with him had now become a polite, obedient, and somewhat cold niece.

Lucifer wondered if the person he had just quarreled with and the person standing here now were the same person.

But then Lucifer noticed that Reina was still raising her middle finger at Lucifer, cleverly so that Owen wouldn't notice. Yes, they were the same person.

"So have you two become close to each other?" Owen asked excitedly, perhaps he did not know that his niece had another personality.

Perhaps their friendship was beyond saving.

'One was born with nothing and the other was born with everything? I can't imagine those two being friends. Moreover, with that damn personality of hers, no thank you.'
