Rorschach looked through this version of his cell phone to see what his situation was and found out that this version of himself was a detective. He guessed the reason why the guys were after him was because he was looking into something he shouldn't have, so Kingpin sent some of his goons to get rid of him. But right now, he was exploring this new place. He decided he needed a drink, so he went to a local bar to have a quick drink and see everything firsthand. He sat down and started to look around. He mainly saw thugs who thought they were the best. The bartender asked him what he wanted, so he went ahead and ordered, then went back to looking around at the other customers. The bartender made his drink and handed it to him. He started to ask him some questions about the locals and if anything new was going on. The bartender brought up the return of Tony Stark and how Mr. Stark shut down Stark Industries' weapon manufacturing division upon his return. So Rorschach, or Walter, told him that he didn't expect Stark to do that because he just lost himself a lot of money and not everyone would be happy about that, especially the people high up. After chatting with the bartender, Walter decided that it was time to go home and think about what he was going to do about his current situation. But before he could make it home, he was stopped by a group of people who told him to stop.
Walter was currently in an alleyway all alone; no one was around, but a couple of thugs stopped him in his tracks. One of the thugs spoke up and told him that the Kingpin didn't like him meddling with his business, and if he didn't stop, then trouble would come to him and all of his loved ones. Walter walked up to them and started to speak, but the man who spoke wasn't Walter Kovacs; he was now Rorschach, the vigilante who will stop at nothing to prevent a criminal from hurting any innocents. Rorschach told them they better leave him alone or else. The thugs went up to him and tried to punch him, but Rorschach dodged and started to beat down on the thugs until they were all on the ground, defeated. But before he could leave, one of the thugs decided it would be smart to pull out his gun. Rorschach looked at him with empty eyes and told the thug that if he pulled the trigger, then he would make sure the thug never saw the daylight ever again. The thug, with a smile on his face, tried to pull the trigger, but Rorschach, using a smoke bomb he made, dropped it on the floor to make himself harder to shoot. He picked up a brick that was laying on the ground and hit the man as hard as he could with it, but he used too much force and accidentally killed the man. Rorschach didn't really care though because in his eyes, the thug deserved punishment for his actions. He went back home after brutally beating up and even killing one of the thugs before the cops could arrive. When he got home, he decided to call it a night and go to sleep; he had to get ready for work tomorrow morning.
Daredevil was at a crime scene that happened not too long ago. He saw that some thugs were beaten up and one was killed. Using his senses of smell and touch, he found two important clues: first, there was a scent of smoke lingering in the air, indicating that somebody most likely used a smoke bomb; and second, he found a brick on the ground. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that it was broken and had blood on it, likely the weapon the killer used. He was pretty sure it was that guy called Rorschach because he used his surroundings as a weapon and the killer was pretty brutal with his approach, a trait he was known for. Matt knew he had to look for him and put an end to his terror, but first, he had to prepare. The last time they encountered each other, it didn't end well for Matt. Rorschach reminded him of another person, but for now, he could only prepare for their next encounter.
Frank Castle, better known as the Punisher, was watching the news about the new vigilante roaming the streets called Rorschach. He wore a trench coat with a fedora, but the feature that stood out the most was his black and white mask that moved like an actual Rorschach test. Frank saw that Rorschach wasn't your typical vigilante who had a no-kill rule; he wasn't scared to get his hands dirty when he needed to. He respected Rorschach for what he stood for and realized that he saw good and evil as black and white with no in-between. The good will get rewarded, and evil will get punished, similar to him. However, the Punisher makes sure to put down every criminal, whereas Rorschach doesn't do that. The Punisher got up and decided he was going to take down a group of criminals later, hoping he would get to see Rorschach in action at some point.
The Kingpin was enjoying dinner when some guy came barging in, talking about a new vigilante who was interfering with his business. Kingpin got up and started to complain about vigilantes always getting in his way. First, it was Daredevil, and now this new vigilante called Rorschach. At least Daredevil had a limit and didn't kill, but this Rorschach guy was more brutal and didn't care about the life of a criminal. He wouldn't hesitate to put down one of his guns for hire. This guy was giving Kingpin a headache, but then he had a thought. He was going to ask for a helping hand, literally. So with his connections, he decided to get some help with his vigilante problem.
