Walter woke up. He barely got any sleep because of nightmares about his past, but he got ready and started to head to work. He arrived at work where his boss greeted him with a smile, telling him how he was doing. Walter tried to act normal, but he wasn't the best at that, so he went to his office and started to look at some cases. He saw a particular case about some gang members who were murdered in cold blood by someone. The police think it was a gang-related murder, but Walter thinks it has something to do with a vigilante because there have been multiple murders, and none of the victims were innocent people; they were killed in a brutal manner. He decided to look deeper into the case and saw that the thugs were killed swiftly with no chance of getting up, so whoever did this was a trained professional, most likely served in the military, and the weapon of choice was highly efficient, leaving no room for survivors. Walter already ruled out Daredevil because he doesn't kill innocent people and it was obviously not him because he would know if he did it. After doing some more investigations, he noticed it was getting dark and decided to go home. He was going to do some more research on this vigilante. When he got home, he put on his face and got to work.
Rorschach is currently running across some rooftops looking for crime. He sees a mugging happening, so he goes to stop the guy who is trying to steal a woman's purse. When he gets a clear view of them, he sees that it is a trap. He dodges the knife that is aimed at him, but before he can counter-attack, the mugger attacks him. Rorschach is ready and dodges out of the way. He backs up but gets a sense of danger and ducks out of the way of a sword aimed to decapitate him. He sweeps the ninja's legs from under him, but before he can take advantage of the ninja's vulnerable state, two more ninjas appear out of the shadows, surrounding him at a big disadvantage. He decides to throw a smoke bomb and retreat, using the smoke to distract the ninjas. Rorschach grapples to the top of the roof to make a tactical retreat, but the ninjas are on his tail. He is currently on the rooftop, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with ninjas who are throwing ninja stars at him, which he is able to dodge. He soon realizes that he has to engage them, so he jumps into a random apartment to see if he can use anything as a weapon.
Rorschach found a chef's knife lying around and decided to set a little trap for them. Rorschach barely was able to set it. He attacked the ninjas using his knife and was able to take out one of the ninjas who wasn't prepared for him to be armed. But that still left four more ninjas, who he recognized as the mugger and the lady, so he was fighting them for a while. Clearly outnumbered, he was getting slightly overwhelmed, but he saw the trap was set, so he used a smoke bomb and jumped out of the window. He checked to see if anyone was following him, and when he was sure, he stopped to catch his breath quickly. Luckily, the oven was a gas oven, so he was able to rig it to explode, allowing him to make his escape before Daredevil and the cops could show up. He didn't want to attract more attention than he already had. He had a couple of scars, but relatively he was unscathed with no major injuries. He was going to go back to the original alleyway where he found the mugger and the lady in the first place. He was investigating and picked up the ninja stars they threw at him and saw that they were well-made. So he went home and started to do some more research on the ninjas he encountered. The next day, while doing some research, he saw the news talking about Daredevil fighting ninjas that looked familiar to the ones he fought. They were able to get some good hits on him, but he was able to beat them.
He was making one of his new gadgets when he saw some news about an Iron Man saving people in the Middle East. It gave him an idea about one of his gadgets he was going to make, and he quickly got to work on an exoskeleton to strengthen himself. Using his newfound abilities, he was able to create an exoskeleton so he could fight stronger opponents just in case he needed to fight someone who was superhuman. He realized that he was significantly smarter now; he was actually on par with Ozymandias. That was why he was able to create the exoskeleton so easily. When he finished, he realized that he needed a place to store all his technology, so he decided to set up a base underground where no one could find him. Using the money from criminals, he was able to get everything he needed for crime-fighting. He honestly needed a base because this world is way more dangerous than his previous. So he started to try and find out who the ninjas were who attacked him and what was in it for them. He has barely scratched this new world he found himself in and he didn't like not knowing the unknown. So he had to be prepared for every possible situation just in case he found himself in a dangerous situation. He didn't know if someone would come knocking at his door at some point wanting something from him so he needed a back up plan just in care. He knows of the organization called Shield that was involved with an alien situation many years ago and he didn't know if they would come knocking at his door at some point or even some of shield's enemies might try and get to him before them so he has a lot of people wanting him dead. All he can do is wait until they come and he will be prepared for their arrival.
