Chapter 2 - Who killed me?

I thought about the inventory, but nothing happened. Then I returned to the tent and looked around. I found some clothes and food—dried meat, some fermented mare's milk, and dried fruits. I took some dried fruits, looked at the system, and said, "Inventory." The fruits disappeared from my hand. I tapped on the inventory, and a secondary screen appeared showing the fruits. After that, I placed all the important items into the inventory and left the tent.

I kept walking until I reached the market. I wanted to try the inventory skill in a different way. I started negotiating over some wine with a merchant from Pentos. Then I paid him a silver-gold coin in exchange for some barrels. He went to get the barrels, and I placed my hand on one and said, "Inventory." The barrel vanished. When the merchant returned, I took the remaining barrels and went back to the tent.

Then I tried just looking at an object and saying "Inventory." I discovered I could store things without even touching them. I continued experimenting until my maid arrived. I bathed with her, then slept.

When I woke up, I began stealing from the Dothraki—everything: hides, food, water, weapons, even books. I was surprised to find that some Dothraki had books. Do they give them to slaves to read or what? I wandered around Vaes Dothrak and stole everything my eyes landed on. Eventually, I reached the Dosk Khalen, the place where the widows of the Khals live—those who are called Khaleesi, or something like that.

There, I saw a woman—I couldn't tell if she was a prostitute or a widow—but she seemed to be the leader of the widows in that place. She looked at me while mumbling strange words. I wondered if she practiced magic. Should I ask her to teach me? Then she looked at me and said in High Valyrian: "Weapons are not allowed in the holy city." I was shocked she knew High Valyrian. I checked myself and found no weapons. Then she started chanting again. I looked at her and thought—was she predicting my future? That Viserys would die for carrying a sword after stealing the dragon eggs?

She suddenly screamed and began to convulse. I ignored her and walked away, returning to my tent. Once I got there, Daenerys's handmaiden came and took me to her tent. I looked at Daenerys and her handmaiden—Irri, or whatever her name was. Daenerys looked at me and said, "How are you, brother?"

I looked closely at the girl who had been forced to marry a savage barbarian and who would one day become the ruler of half of Essos. I said, "I'm fine. And you, little Daenerys, how are you?"

She was surprised. Well, after everything the old Viserys had done and how he spoke to her, of course she'd be shocked.

Daenerys's Point of View:

I was a bit stunned when Viserys called me "little one." He hadn't called me that in years—not since Ser Willem was still alive. I remembered how kind my brother used to be to me, how he never hurt me. Then I said, "I invited you to dinner, brother." I looked closely at his face. He said, "Of course, why not?"

He started glancing around the room, eyeing the gold, then the dragon eggs. His gaze then settled on Irri, and he kept staring at her. I walked over to the table and began to...

Protagonist's Point of View:

I looked at Daenerys as she carried some Dothraki-style clothes and handed them to me. "I had them made for you," she said. I looked at the clothes—I didn't know how to wear them or what they even were. I said, "Thank you, Dany... I'm hungry. I want food." She ordered her handmaiden—or slave, I wasn't sure—to bring food. The food came, and we started chatting.

I studied her features closely and was shocked by her beauty. She didn't look like Emilia Clarke at all. How could that fool Viserys have sold her to a Dothraki? Then I said, "Dany, I'm going to the city of Qohor."

She froze, stopped eating, stood up, and said, "Why, brother?"

I replied, "Let's talk alone." She dismissed her handmaiden.

I said, "Dany, do you think we'll ever reclaim the Iron Throne?"

She looked at me and said nothing.

I continued, "Dany, I know I've acted foolishly ever since Ser Willem died. The dumbest thing I did was selling you to those savages. I thought I would gain an army—but I was wrong. Drogo will never give me his army. The Dothraki will never cross the Narrow Sea. They never have, and they never will.

They used my stupidity, Dany, and made me sell you like livestock. And even if the Dothraki did cross and we invaded Westeros—do you think Drogo would give me the throne?

I'm going to the Free Cities, Dany."

I stood up and left the tent. I looked around—the Dothraki were eating, having sex, and fighting. How could Viserys ever believe they would obey him?

I returned to my tent after stealing some of Daenerys's gold. I began stealing a few other items, then entered the tent and slept.

When I woke up and looked around, the things I had stored in the inventory the day before were back in place. I opened the system and tapped on the inventory—nothing. The secondary screen appeared, but it was empty. I was shocked, started cursing, and began thinking—was it Daenerys? Or Jorah Mormont? But I hadn't met him yet. Why would he kill me? Did Drogo kill me? I didn't know who killed me—but why?

Does Drogo want the Iron Throne? I thought deeply but couldn't find a reason. He had everything—he could conquer half of Essos. Why kill me? Maybe he thought I was a threat to his son?

I paced inside the tent, thinking of every possible reason and every person who might want to kill me. I even thought of the wine merchant from Pentos—but I didn't drink his wine.

I opened the system and said, "Inventory." I entered the inventory with my entire body. I looked around. There was nothing—just black ground and an ordinary sky. I thought of a sword, and from the ground, a black sword formed and floated. I grabbed it—it was lightweight. I thought of a gun—and one appeared.

Then I started experimenting with my powers:

Library: Lets me copy any book, scroll, or item I want to study.

Return System: A simple power. Every time I die, I go back one day.

Inventory: I can store anything in it, and when I enter, I can shape it however I want.

I exited, and as before, I stole everything in front of me. When I went to Daenerys, I stole half her gold. I didn't speak with her about anything. I simply said I wasn't feeling well and wanted to sleep.
