Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Two Rules

Santino D'Antonio shook his head:

"I don't know."

"And I don't need to know."

"But I heard you were looking for something like this, so I searched a secondhand platform—and surprise, it was actually for sale."

"Tell me that's not interesting."

Hearing that the other party didn't know the use of the Dragon Ball, John Wick let out a sigh of relief, though he was a bit surprised by how it was obtained.

"John, would you like to tell me what it is?"

John Wick kept a straight face and said:

"Are you willing to exchange a blood oath contract for the information?"

Santino D'Antonio's expression turned surprised:

"John, are you joking?"

"I didn't want to bother you originally—I respected your retirement."

"But when you re-entered the Continental Hotel and even offered a new blood oath, I figured—you're back."

John Wick shook his head:

"That was a personal matter."

Santino ignored him and held up the blood oath contract:

"There are two rules in the Continental Hotel."

"First, no killing on hotel grounds."

"Second, the blood oath must be fulfilled."

John Wick nodded. Santino continued:

"The one who gave the oath cannot harm the holder. The task must be completed."

"Refuse the task—death."

"Run away—death."

"Kill the holder—death."

"Break the rules—excommunicated by the Continental and hunted by the High Table."

Hearing this, John Wick knew he could no longer refuse. He said:

"Tell me your request."

"And I want the Four-Star Ball."

Santino smiled:

"So that's what it's called—Four-Star Ball. No problem."

"When the task is done, it will be delivered to you."

Then Santino added:

"As for the task, I want you to kill my sister."

John Wick was puzzled:

"Why?"

Santino's expression turned serious:

"There are twelve seats on the High Table."

"Camorra, Mafia, Yakuza, Chinese, Russians..."

"When my father passed away, he passed the seat to her."

"She now represents the Camorra, and I can't help but wonder—what could I achieve if I replace her?"

John confirmed:

"You want me to kill Gianna D'Antonio?"

Santino nodded:

"I can't do it myself. She's my sister. I still love her."

John Wick understood how dangerous and complicated this task was. He said:

"This can't be done."

Santino shared more information:

"She's being coronated in Rome as Camorra's leader. You'll enter through the catacombs..."

John shook his head:

"Her location doesn't matter."

He knew the trouble—refuse, and the Continental and High Table would hunt him. Accept, and he'd still be in grave danger, especially since she held the Dragon Ball he needed.

Santino looked at John and said:

"That's why I need the Ghost—John Wick."

"That's why I need you to do this. Complete your blood oath, and I'll gift you the Four-Star Ball."

"What do you say?"

John stood up and said:

"I accept the task. Don't forget the Four-Star Ball."

Santino smiled, took a sip of coffee, and left John's home.

Elsewhere

Smith Doyle was accompanied by two people—Wesley, son of the Cross, and Fox. Of course, Pool was also there.

Wesley already knew Pool but still looked at him curiously from time to time.

"GOD, what's our next task?" Wesley asked.

Smith Doyle thought for a moment and replied:

"Wesley, go fetch John Wick. I need to speak with him."

"Here's his address."

Wesley accepted the task and drove to John Wick's house.

Fox watched Wesley leave and asked:

"Are you planning to tell him about the Dragon Balls?"

Smith nodded:

"Not just Wesley—eventually, all the higher-ups will know."

"I said it—the Dragon Balls will be the new holy relics of the Assassin's Guild."

Fox looked at Pool:

"What about him?"

"There are cameras everywhere. If he talks outside, someone's bound to report it."

Just then, Pool used a transformation technique to turn into a blue cat-shaped helium balloon.

"I won't speak outside and cause trouble for the young master," he said.

Fox was wide-eyed—he didn't expect Pool to have such an ability.

"Now I'm not worried anymore."

Smith shrugged. For now, Pool remained hidden, but once a wish on the Dragon Balls was made, Pool's power would significantly increase. Even if he was exposed later, it wouldn't matter—especially since the early Marvel Universe wasn't that dangerous.

---

Soon Wesley returned with John Wick, arriving at the Assassin's Guild, which surprisingly operated out of a textile factory in New York.

"GOD, I brought John Wick."

"Mr. Smith."

John nodded at them.

"Want something to drink?" Smith asked.

"Whiskey," John replied.

Fox poured him a glass.

After taking a sip, John said:

"Sir, I've found the second Dragon Ball."

Smith asked, surprised:

"Which one?"

"The Four-Star Ball. It's with Santino D'Antonio, but it'll be mine soon."

Wesley looked confused—he didn't know what a Dragon Ball was, but with John present, he didn't ask.

Fox, who had just read up on the High Table, asked:

"Is it the D'Antonio who controls the Camorra?"

John nodded:

"Yes. His sister is about to inherit a High Table seat, and he approached me with a Dragon Ball and a blood oath—he wants me to kill her."
