I pulled away from him and met his gaze. His eyes searched mine, as his fingers caressed my cheek.
"I thought I lost you," he said.
"I'm here. You're never gonna lose me," I said and kissed his hand.
"You know what this means?" He asked.
I shook my head.
"Henceforth, you're banned from doing anything. Leave it all to me, okay?"
I had something to say about that but the look on his face stopped me.
"Okay."
"I'll draw you a bath," he stood up and walked to the bathroom.
Tara came in just then and stared at me.
"Hey," I greeted.
She blinked, not saying anything.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"You're a selfish bitch, you know that?" She asked.
I stood up. "What'd I do?"
"I told you plenty of times to take care of yourself, and that no one's more important than you or the baby, including him," her eyes watered as she stared at me.
"I'm sorry."
"You scared me, Mia," she cried.
"Ivy," I corrected and glanced at the bathroom.
