Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: THE UNSPOKEN UNDERSTANDING

Ravi stared at Aira's reply, his heart racing in a rhythm he couldn't quite control. "I didn't find it. I drew it."

He had expected an explanation—some logic behind it. Something that made sense in a world where things like this didn't happen. But this… this was something else entirely.

"You drew it." The words echoed in his mind, as if spoken in the quietest part of his soul.

He didn't know why, but he felt something stir within him. An answer, a connection—something he had been unknowingly searching for all these years.

He typed back quickly, not thinking, just responding to the pull he couldn't explain:

"I know this sounds strange, but I think I've seen you. In a dream. In a way I can't forget. It's not like anything I've ever felt before. Do you feel it too?"

He hesitated, then hit send. His fingers trembled slightly as he sat back, staring at the screen, unsure of what he had just laid bare. What if she didn't understand? What if she thought he was crazy?

Aira stared at his message, her heart skipping. She had expected a reply, but not this one.

He had seen her? In a dream?

Her fingers hovered over the phone, her breath catching in her throat. She didn't know how to explain the strange sensation she had lived with for months—this quiet knowing, this ache in her chest whenever she thought of him. It was like she had already met him somewhere, sometime.

She quickly typed:

"I've felt it too. But I don't know why. I've never met you. I don't even know your name."

A pause. She read the words. Her heart raced in sync with his.

She added another line:

"But I know you. I feel like I do, somehow."

Her thumb hovered over the screen for a moment before she pressed send. It felt like the universe was watching, holding its breath for what might happen next.

Ravi, on the other side of the world, read her words with a smile that was both wide and sad at the same time.

"I think I know you too."
