Cherreads

Chapter 27 - 27

Dinner was very plentiful. Everyone ate until their bellies were round and full, then happily went back to their rooms to sleep.

"Brian, I have something serious to talk to you about!"

After washing up, Freya turned over and straddled Brian who was lying on the bed. She looked at him seriously.

"What happened?" Brian was startled by her serious tone and immediately sat up on the bed to ask.

"Uh, it's about my family…" Freya hugged Brian's waist, telling him about what the original host had done and how the Lu family was living in the cowshed.

Sigh, another day of carrying the blame!

"Why are you looking at me like that? If you're afraid of being affected, then we can get a divorce. But I'm not going to abandon them."

After finishing, Freya quietly sat up and saw Brian's tangled and strange expression. She thought he was scared of being dragged into trouble.

Freya felt a little down, but since she promised to take care of the original host's parents, she wouldn't go back on her word.

Forget it, three-legged toads are rare, but two-legged men are everywhere. Freya comforted herself.

"What's that little head of yours thinking? How could I want to divorce you over something like this? They're your parents. It's only right for you to take care of them."

Brian, with a helpless expression, patted her head gently.

"Then why did you have that weird expression?" Freya shyly burrowed into his arms and acted cute.

"Uh… I was just thinking, do you still like that ex-fiancé of yours?" Brian awkwardly rubbed his nose, clearly feeling a little ashamed.

"Pfft, who would still want that idiot scumbag! When I have time, I'll go to the capital and ruin him. How dare he play me!"

Freya raised her head fiercely, then suddenly changed her expression, wrapping her arms around Brian's neck with a sly grin.

"Baby, are you jealous?"

"It's late, let's sleep. Don't you want to go up the mountain tomorrow?" Brian's ears turned red as he tried to dodge the question.

"Aww, I don't want to sleep yet. Come on, tell me, are you jealous? Are you starting to like me?" Freya swayed like a little puppy, rubbing up against him.

"Freya, behave, don't move around so much!" Brian's face turned even redder, and a certain part of his body also reacted.

"I won't! If you don't say it, I'll just keep rubbing!" Freya hadn't noticed his tension and kept teasing him.

"Mm…"

Brian flipped over and pressed Freya down, kissing her red lips.

Freya was surprised for a moment, then quickly responded with passion.

The two kissed, touched, and tangled with each other for a good while.

"I told you, don't move around so much!" Brian panted, their breaths intertwined, filled with heat.

Freya felt the heat from Brian's lower body, and her face instantly turned red.

Even though she always acted bold and flirty, damn it, she had only ever seen people acting out sex scenes before.

This was completely different from doing it for real!

Freya tried to calm her breathing and acted coy:

"I didn't do it on purpose. I don't really know about this stuff. Do you want it? I can give it to you!" she said, planting a kiss on Brian's lips.

"Freya, you really won't regret it?" Brian looked deeply at the cute little woman under him, as if trying to see right through her.

"Don't ask me that again. I'll say it one last time—if you always treat me sincerely, I'll never leave you! I chose you myself, what's there to regret?"

With that, Freya kissed Brian again.

Brian tightly hugged Freya and deepened the kiss. His eyes grew darker, and his long fingers shamelessly wandered over Freya's delicate body.

Two hours later.

"Mm… Brian, again?"

"One more time!"

Three hours later.

"No more! I have to go up the mountain tomorrow!"

"Okay, you sleep! I'll fan you!"

The room finally quieted down.

On an August morning, sunlight shone through the window, falling on the two people holding each other closely.

Outside the window, birds were chirping, clear and pleasant, as if they were singing the beauty of nature.

Taking a deep breath, one could feel the fresh air filled with the scent of grass, lifting the spirits.

Knock knock knock "Sister-in-law, time to get up and eat!" Sister Xiao called softly from outside the door.

"Okay, getting up now," Brian answered in a low voice.

"Mm… I'm so tired, don't want to get up!" Freya mumbled sleepily and buried her head into Brian's chest.

"All right, don't get up, sleep a bit more." Brian comforted her as he hugged her, gently patting her back until she drifted off.

Looking at the blue and purple marks on her body, he felt both proud and distressed. Proud that all the marks on her were his, but heartbroken that he had tired her out too much last night.

But Freya was just too lovely, he couldn't stop, and didn't want to.

Brian looked at the sleeping Freya with affection and tenderness in his eyes. He was determined to work hard and give her a good life.

Brian pulled the wheelchair to the bed, moved as lightly as possible, sat down, and went out the door.

"Brian, don't move. I'll push you! That stone step at the door is a bit inconvenient. When I come back at noon, I'll fix it so it's easier for you to move your wheelchair." Brother Biping carefully helped Brian down the steps and pushed him to the stone table.

"Thanks, Big Brother! Now that I have a wheelchair, I'm going to work today. When I retired, my superior arranged a scorekeeper job for me. From now on, I'll work in our team." Brian smiled at everyone.

"Look at you, little brother. Even with injured legs, you've got a good job. No worry about not being able to support your wife."

Bigui almost let something slip and quickly shut up. He glanced nervously at Freya's bedroom. No whip came flying out—she must not have heard!

"Hmph! When will you find a decent job so I can live in comfort too?" Fang snapped at Bigui, seeing that Freya hadn't come out to eat and getting bold again.

"I'll get a good job when you become as pretty and protective of your man as my sister-in-law." Bigui didn't back down.

Seeing the two of them about to argue again, Sister Lan came out carrying a big stack of white steamed buns.

"Wow, what's the occasion? We had meat yesterday and now white flour buns today. Are we rich now?" Fang reached out to grab one, but Sister Lan quickly dodged.

"These were bought by our sister-in-law with her own money. It's not from the communal pot. When she gave me the rice and flour yesterday, she told me from now on, I'm in charge of the kitchen. Besides our parents and those two, everyone else will eat according to how much work they do. Work more, eat more. Work less, eat less. If anyone has a problem, go talk to her!" Sister Lan ignored Brother Biping's signals and finished the speech she had practiced many times.
