Chapter 6 Recruiting heroes [2] and forced event
Leon upon hearing my words wondered and asked
"How do you know that your majesty?"
"I haven't said my secret to anyone"
Leon was surprised to me and I replied back jokingly
"My eyes are a bit special, they can see talents and potential"
"I don't believe it your majesty" Leon responded back to me.
"Of course you wouldn't believe it"
"It's just a lie I made up" I thought.
"You're about to have a breakthrough right?"
I spoke.
"How do you also know that one your majesty?" Leon replied.
"Didn't you hear what I said that my eyes are a bit special" I doubled down back on my lie.
Looking back at leon, his face told me that he still didn't believe it.
Well there was no need for me to concern over that topic.
I had planned to tell him a way to breakthrough his way to the next level.
Compared to the other three future heroes I had adopted.
They were all support heroes that were in the buffs class but Leon was different.
He was a ranged combat class and that meant his abilities would be useful in the war.
"Leon, I know a way for you to breakthrough to another level"
"The conditions would be following my order in exchange for your breakthrough to another level" I stated.
In the game [Nations Rise].
Leon was a beginner level hero character whos ambitions were to be a hero and hearing my offer, it should work. I thought
"Ill accept the conditions" Leon answered back to me.
Sure enough the things I did in the game also worked here.
"Ill tell you the way since I don't wanna waste time" I spoke
"Instead of gathering mana at your heart, spread it around throughout your whole body evenly"
"That's the method you have to do, pretty short right?" I explained.
Leon eyes doubted me but he began to do it anyway.
Sitting in a lotus position, Leon gathered mana in his surroundings and absorbed them.
A few minutes later, the mana around him exploded before calming again.
I had enough distance from him so I wasn't affected.
I could now see that a new stronger and more refined mana was surrounding his body, he had broken through.
Leon was now a 2 star hero.
Leon's eyes was happy and smiled back at me.
I smiled back around him before grinning back slightly, my first hero was done.
It was time to send him to help begin the siege of capital Zentaris and conquer that nation.
"Thanks to you majesty, I have made a breakthrough" Leon thanked me.
"You're welcome"
"Now the conditions, you remember them right?" I asked.
"Yes your majesty I remember them"
"My order will be to draft you in war and help cooperate my army win in the siege of capital Zentaris"
"You'll get more details if you ask Sebastian"
"I will order him to help you" I explained.
"As you wish your majesty" Leon replied back to me.
The plans for the siege of capital Zentaris was complete.
I had nothing to do here in my garden.
So I might as well go back inside the guest room at the emperors building to meet up how they were doing.
At the Emperors guest room building inside third floor.
I could see the future heroes I adopted were jumping happily from their bed on each of their own room.
Sebastian was there so I walked directly towards him.
Finally in front of Sebastian I said
"Sebastian go meet up Leon and help him ready to be drafted in the war"
"Also don't forget to tell him details about the war"
"He's a ranked c hero ranged combat class, you can ask him any questions to answer your doubts" I informed him.
In the game [Nations Rise] characters were rated in stars.
But in the world of that game they were rated as S, A, B, C and lastly D rankings.
The power on each rankings they had exponentially rose the higher they would be.
Hence they were seen as precious soldiers for wars.
Now I had nothing to do here but walk around until I had forgotten something.
It was time to meet the generals back again at the main command outpost.
Going outside the building, I asked one of my servants to bring me another military suv and waited.
The military suv stopped in front of the guest room of the emperors building.
There I took the driver seat and drove around until I finally got past outside the gate of my residence.
I had forgotten that I knew to drive in my previous life but in this life, the emperor didn't drove a vehicle and didn't even know how to.
It would make trouble for me when they knew I drove alone but I prepared an excuse already.
My excuse would be that I practiced driving secretly with no one around.
They might not believe my excuse or lie but would have no choice but to believe it.
Driving around the capital of Antares.
The buildings were built like those in the industrial era after world war 2 had ended in my previous world.
Suddenly two black suvs appeared on the back of my car, they were tailing me.
Damn it! I shouted angrily.
How could I forget this special event from the game?
An assassination attempt of the Emperor where you couldn't avoid it, it didn't matter if you stayed at the residence or anywhere.
A forced event from the game [Nations Rise] at the early beginning scenario, this part was where many players hated it.
I hated this part when playing the game at the Empire's side as it was a forced event.
And I didn't knew at that time until countless failures made me realized.
The fact that forced events from the game in [Nations Rise] applied here too.
Meant that I could face another extreme events like this.
I push my feet hard around the pedal and tried to gain speed.
The two black suvs tailed me when one of their men opened the windows of their car.
It was guns I saw, specifically the m249 machine gun just as I saw in the game.
Fuck! Im screwed!, I thought.
Seeing a corner, I made a hard turn.
My suv almost lost balance but thankfully I had regained control fast.
The two black suvs was still at my back but further.
I looked around in the mirror of my suv when I saw one of the men replace the machine gun in the window with an rpg.
PSHHHHOOOW! One of the men in the black suv fired.
Hearing the rpg round coming towards my suv, I turned left and barely avoided it in time.
KABOOM! One of the streets were hit.
I wasn't driving in the main road of highways but in a separate road for higher ranking officials such as me.
I had to go in the main road of highways and use the civilian cars to slow them down.
My methods were a bit extreme but hours poured into that game.
This was one of the path I always used when assasinations attempt happened.
I could see the glimpse of the main road of highways now, it was just a race against for time now. I thought
Come on! Come on! I shouted to myself when suddenly another rpg round was coming.
I turned right and had avoided the impact but the impact was so close that my car wobbled around.
The car was wobbling around and made it hard for me to drive.
Nevertheless I continued to drive until I was finally in the main road of highways.
The two black suvs stopped chasing me and retreated back.
Aughhh! Blegh! I coughed up blood.
Thankfully I could finally slow down.
Driving back around the residence was a bad idea since the assassination happened there.
So I continued for another hour of driving until I finally arrived at the main command outpost.
