Jin-woo's most feared opponent in dorm life wasn't a difficult exam, a noisy neighbor, or even Yuna's relentless pranks.
No, it was the laundry room.
This ancient chamber of mystery, where washing machines hummed ominously and dryers ate socks like hungry monsters, had broken more spirits than all the group projects combined.
That evening, Jin-woo stood outside the laundry room, squinting at the faded sign:"Out of Order — Please Use with Caution."
It might as well have said: "Enter at your own risk, brave soul."
He sighed dramatically. "The things I do for clean underwear."
Yuna appeared, juggling a basket of perfectly folded laundry like a pro.
"Backup plan: wear the same shirt three days in a row. It builds character."
Jin-woo scoffed. "I'm trying to build a reputation, not character."
Ignoring Yuna's advice, Jin-woo launched Operation Laundry Rescue.
He grabbed what he thought was a toolkit from the supply closet — which turned out to be a hairbrush, a bent spoon, and a half-melted candle.
Perfect for mechanical genius.
He knelt before the washing machine, dramatically whispering, "Prepare to be freed from your watery prison."
Jin-woo tried to pry the door open with the spoon. It didn't budge.
He then attempted a tactical kick.
The machine emitted a terrifying groan like a waking beast.
Jin-woo froze.
"Okay… that was either a warning or a cry for help."
Suddenly, Minji bounced in, clutching a bag of chips.
"Need a cheer squad? I'm your girl!"
Jin-woo nodded. "Yes. You're exactly what I need."
Minji began chanting, "You can do it! Free the clothes! Free the clothes!"
Determined, Jin-woo gave the door another shove and accidentally triggered the locking mechanism.
The door clicked.
He was trapped inside the washing machine.
"Uh… noona? Slight problem. I'm stuck."
Yuna laughed so hard she almost dropped her laundry.
Rescue mode activated.
Yuna recruited Minji, and a few brave dormmates who all gathered around the stubborn machine like it was a riddle wrapped in a mystery.
Between bashing, shaking, and chanting "Open Sesame," the door finally popped open.
Jin-woo crawled out covered in lint and soap bubbles, looking like a freshly washed mop.
Not one to miss a beat, Jin-woo gave a triumphant bow.
"Behold! The Laundry Room Lockdown survivor!"
Yuna handed him a cup of instant coffee.
"Next time, maybe try not climbing into machines?"
Jin-woo grinned. "Where's the fun in following rules?"
Later that night, Jin-woo folded his rescued clothes, accidentally tossing a sock into his ramen bowl.
He shrugged, slurped, and said, "Laundry and dinner, all in one."
