Chapter 19 - Off the Clock, On the Bond

Singhania Neev Penthouse, Udaipur — Night

The rooftop of Singhania Neev was dressed in low golden lights, fairy bulbs looping across the open canopy. A dinner spread had been laid out — wood-fired pizza, wine, a few cold beers, and Trisha's famous grilled olives that no one admitted to liking but always disappeared.

Trisha, in her white tank and joggers, barefoot and relaxed, sat with one leg over the other, sipping from her wine glass like she owned the moonlight.

Reeva, in an oversized black tee (definitely not hers — probably Trisha's) and denim shorts, had her head thrown back in laughter.

Across from them, Tanvi Rao and Yashika Chaudhary, both dressed down in hoodies and tights, were in peak off-duty mode.

Phones on silent. No bosses. No assistants. Just four women with way too much dirt on each other.

Tanvi (smirking):"So… y'all finally out of each other's throats long enough to invite us for dinner?"

Trisha (raising a brow):"We were never at each other's throats."

Yashika:"Yeah, you're more of the 'wrists tied to the headboard' kind, no?"

Reeva (laughing):"YASHIKA!"

Tanvi (grinning):"She's not wrong though."

Trisha (deadpan):"Remind me why I trust you two again?"

Yashika:"Because without us, you'd be outed by now."

Reeva:"Fair."

They all clinked glasses.

Tanvi (mock serious):"Also, can we talk about how you've got every suite in two cities, but still hook up in cars like horny teenagers?"

Trisha:"Adrenaline."

Reeva (smirking):"Windows up. Seat fully reclined. Trisha's SUV hits different."

Yashika:"Bro. I've literally held the door closed while pretending to be on a fake call so no staff walks in."

Tanvi:"You deserve a medal. I just text 'all clear' and pretend I don't hear the thuds."

Everyone burst out laughing.

Reeva (grabbing another slice):"This is why we keep them close. Ride or die."

Trisha:"Exactly. Which is why I was thinking… why don't y'all just stay here? I mean, when we're in Udaipur? This place is massive and you always book hotels anyway."

Tanvi (mock horror):"Oh GOD. Do you want us to hear your moans at midnight and wake up terrified??"

Reeva (grinning):"Oh no no — fun fact: Trisha's bedroom is soundproof."

Yashika (mouth open):"OF COURSE IT IS."

Trisha (smirking):"I'm an architect's daughter. Priorities."

They were halfway into the cheesecake when Yashika, always the chaos instigator, leaned in.

Yashika (eyebrows raised):"Alright, spill it. What's the wildest thing you two have done in bed? Like... real unhinged lesbian chaos."

Trisha raised a brow. Reeva almost choked on her wine.

Reeva (blushing, but smirking):"Oh god. Okay. So there was this one time... we were in the Udaipur penthouse during the rains... candlelight, blackout vibe…"

Tanvi:"Spicy start."

Reeva (grinning):"Trisha had these silk scarves — don't ask me where from — and she literally tied me up, blindfolded me, and said 'No sounds. Only feel.' I had no idea where she was going to touch me next. She used ice. Then hot wax. Then her mouth. And... then something I'm still not emotionally ready to process."

Yashika (jaw dropped):"She HOT-WAXED you???"

Tanvi:"Reeva, blink twice if you're being held hostage by horny luxury."

Reeva (laughing hard):"NO! It was... insane. Like, I saw God. Then Trisha. Then God again."

Trisha (sipping wine calmly):"Craftsmanship."

Tanvi (to Trisha):"You're a menace."

Yashika:"A beautifully dangerous menace."

Trisha (shrugging):"Just passionate."

Reeva (leaning on her shoulder, whispering):"Don't stop, Trix…"

Tanvi (groaning):"NOOOOOOO!"

Yashika (stuffing her ears):"MAKE IT STOP. I CAN'T UNSCREW MY EARS."

Trisha (laughing):"Relax, my dears. Singhania Neev has many soundproof walls."

Tanvi:"Yeah, but no walls for trauma."

Yashika:"Next dinner, I'm bringing earplugs."

They all laughed so hard, Reeva spilled her wine and Trisha didn't even care. The chaos, the flirting, the jokes — it was their bubble of trust, the one that lived between stolen nights and sunrise meetings.

And it felt like home.
