"No," she said fiercely. "It's between us and the curse they chained to your name."


He took her hand. "Then we face him… together."


The veil between worlds shimmered—then split apart.


From the smoke, a monstrous figure emerged. Seven feet tall. Skin like cracked obsidian. Hollow eyes glowing red. Armor etched in the language of fallen angels.


"Did you think death could keep me chained?" he growled.


Kael stepped forward. "You betrayed my kingdom."


"And you murdered mine," the General hissed. "Let's finish what we started."


Lucien drew his sword. Evelyn summoned her power—the mark from the mirror now glowing beneath her skin like molten silver.


Meanwhile, deep beneath Seraphina's sanctuary, a prisoner stirred.
