Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Offer

Two weeks had passed since the incident, and Tae-hyun was finally ready to be discharged from the hospital. As he packed his belongings, Ji-hyun, the 26-year-old woman, walked into his room.

"Are you feeling well enough to leave?" she asked, her eyes scanning his face.

Tae-hyun , still wary of her intentions. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for taking care of me."

Ji-hyun smiled and handed him a business card. "If you need a job, we can recruit you. Our organization is always looking for talented individuals like you."

Tae-hyun's mind flashed to his family's financial struggles. They could use the money, but something about Ji-hyun's offer didn't sit well with him. The mysterious rich man, the constant surveillance – it all felt too suspicious.

"I appreciate the offer, but I'll have to decline," Tae-hyun said, trying to sound simple..

Ji-hyun's expression remained neutral, but have some curiosity in her eyes. "Very well. If you change your mind, don't hesitate to contact us."

As they left the hospital, Tae-hyun was feeling that he'd just made an enemy.

Ji-hyun's words seemed more like a warning than a farewell.

As soon as Tae-hyun was unable to listen to him, Ji-hyun pulled out her phone and dialed a number. "He refused the offer," she reported.

A low, gravelly voice responded on the other end, "It's okay. Keep him safe."

The call ended abruptly, leaving Ji-hyun's expression unreadable.

Meanwhile, Detective Kim sat in his office, staring at the case files. But the official already closed the case, but he couldn't let go of the feeling that there was more to the story. He'd been poring over the footage, and one detail continued to bother him – the boy's actions before the fight.

He'd noticed that Tae-hyun had been with two young girls, around 10-12 years old, before the incident. Further investigation revealed that several children in the same age group had gone missing in the area, but no leads had been found.

Detective Kim's gets some idea but who will be that viral boy, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "The time isn't right yet," he muttered to himself, "but I'll be watching."

In an other area lit basement, a man watched the footage of the fight, replaying it over and over. "No matter how many times I watch this, I still can't figure out where he learned that technique," the man said, a mixture of admiration and frustration in his voice.

The figure's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. Who was this mysterious boy, and what secrets did he hold? The investigation may have been closed, but for some, the real questions were only just beginning...
