Tae-hyun walked out of yet another job interview, feeling defeated. This was the fifth rejection he'd faced in the past week, and his savings were losing fast. His sisters were counting on him to support them, and the pressure was unimaginable.
He thought back to his previous job at the average restaurant, where he'd managed together enough money to pay for his sister's school fees and household expenses. But now, it seemed like everything was falling apart. The new owner had taken over, and Tae-hyun's job had been cancelled.
The home owner had visited twice, demanding rent payment. If Tae-hyun paid the rent, he'd have to sacrifice his sister's school fees. The thought of his sister falling behind in her studies was unbearable.
As he walked down the street, Tae-hyun's thoughts about Ji-hyun and the rich man's offer. "If you need a job, we can recruit you," she'd said. Tae-hyun had dismissed the idea, but now he wondered if he'd made a mistake.
"All things went wrong due to that man," Tae-hyun thought bitterly. "If he gives me a job, it's the least he can do after all I did to save his life."
Tae-hyun's footsteps slowed as he approached the street where the rich man's mansion was located. He hesitated for a moment, then pulled out the business card Ji-hyun had given him.
Maybe it was time to reconsider her offer.
With a sense of determination, Tae-hyun pulled out his phone and dialed the number on the card. "Hello?" Ji-hyun's voice answered on the first ring.
Tae-hyun took a deep breath. "I'm willing to take the job," he said, his voice firm.
There was a pause on the other end, followed by a smile in Ji-hyun's voice. "I'll send a car for you. Be ready in an hour."
As Tae-hyun hung up, he couldn't understand the feeling that his life was about to change in ways he couldn't imagine...
