In the world of DxD, the various pantheons were especially lively at this moment.
The sudden mass appearance of angels.
And soon after, the news of the God of the Bible's resurrection.
There was no doubt—everything that happened today left every god in shock.
What kind of day was this?
At the same time, everyone understood why the angels had moved out on such a grand scale. It was surely for their God.
Now, with the news of God's resurrection, it only confirmed things further.
Some had already started offering congratulations—especially those pantheons friendly with the Bible God's faction. God's resurrection made them even more excited.
When Veya received these messages, she immediately had Michael deal with them.
She herself went to find Ophis.
While she was talking to the angels, Ophis had been led to another part of Heaven to rest.
When Veya arrived where Ophis was, she found her in a daze.
Noticing Veya's arrival, Ophis's eyes finally focused. The two locked gazes, and Veya entered and sat down.
"Where is Takumi?"
Ophis got straight to the point.
He had been gone for a while now.
Ophis had made up her mind: she wanted Takumi to help her deal with Great Red.
"Are you going to leave with him too?"
Hearing this, Veya looked at Ophis in confusion.
She was aware of Takumi and Ophis's conversations—Michael had already informed her.
"Yes. This world is no longer peaceful. I need a place of tranquility. Going to another world might be a good choice."
Takumi's offer seemed genuine.
While he'd help solve some problems here, if she didn't agree to go with him, there'd be no way to deal with Great Red. Ophis simply didn't have the strength for that. If she borrowed Takumi's strength to beat Great Red, there was a chance Great Red would come looking for payback after Takumi left. She could end up being expelled again.
So, why not just go with Takumi? He was incredibly strong. Surely his domain would be a better place.
After a lot of thought, Ophis decided to follow Takumi and see for herself.
"That's fine, then."
Ophis going with Takumi?
Veya actually agreed with this. She knew Ophis's character—completely uninterested in worldly affairs, barely moving unless something really happened. But because of her immense power, Ophis was always being targeted by others. If she left this world, that might actually be for the best.
"I'm going to see Takumi now. Will you come?"
After a moment of silence, Veya invited Ophis to join her.
Ophis's eyes lit up at once. Of course she'd go.
Seeing her reaction, Veya understood and signaled for Ophis to follow. The two headed to the top floor of the library.
Ophis wasn't interested in anything around her, even though it was her first time here. She followed Veya to where Takumi was.
Veya looked at the room, her eyes wavering slightly. Nothing had changed—everything was just as it was when she left. Takumi was probably the only one who'd come here.
The two entered and saw the robots still scanning. But by now, Takumi was almost finished. Most things had already been scanned.
Seeing that Veya and Ophis had arrived, Takumi looked up.
"Is everything settled?"
Veya nodded. "Gabriel has agreed to go with you. Mr. Takumi, I hope you'll take good care of Gabriel."
She didn't waste words and stated it plainly. Gabriel's decision had already been made—she would leave this world with Takumi.
Hearing this, Takumi's eyes sparkled.
"Of course, I'll definitely take care of her. If you need anything, you can find Akeno—she can contact me anytime."
Takumi was in a great mood. This was just perfect. He'd finally have an angel of his own.
And if, in the future, some elves joined the group—well, Takumi considered himself an elf too, and now there was an angel!
No complaints at all. Life was good~!
Once that was settled, Veya moved on to another matter.
"Mr. Takumi, I'd like to talk about the exe world."
Saying this, Veya sat down across from Takumi.
Takumi blinked. "I already told Michael and the others I'd take care of it. That was part of the deal for letting me have access here. Is there more to discuss?"
"I know! But what I want to ask is, could you please cut off the passage between the two worlds afterward?"
That's what Veya meant. The other world was extremely dangerous. Even if Takumi wiped out the evil gods there, new ones might appear someday. So, if possible, she hoped he could directly sever the link between the two worlds.
Takumi understood at once. But to him, it didn't really matter.
"Does it really make a difference? Once I've handled things over there, you could even launch a counterattack. Why sever the connection?"
That was an entire world. Once Takumi confirmed the top powerhouses there were defeated, wouldn't this world's people want to conquer it? Wouldn't it be great to seize a whole world's worth of resources? Even if he took the biggest share, there'd still be so much left.
Veya shook her head. "There are too many ambitious people in our world. If we tried to counterattack, it'd just lead to a civil war after taking over. So the best thing is to sever the connection—or maybe even destroy that world completely. Just pretend nobody ever knew about the other world. That's the safest route."
The great wars among the gods may have paused, but fighting never really stopped below. Veya was well aware of this.
Takumi nodded after listening to her reasoning.
"Alright. If that's what you want, then when the time comes, I'll just clean that world out and sever the passage. That's no problem."
If that's what they wanted, that's what he'd do.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Takumi!"
Seeing Takumi agree, Veya breathed a sigh of relief. Her business was finished. Now it was Ophis's turn. With that, she looked at Ophis—next, it was up to her to speak with Takumi.
