Yeahhhhhh!!! The sound of Kaito shouting filled the Shinsei circuit core, and he got really excited.
Noah and the other racers couldn't believe their eyes.
"We didn't stand a chance." One of the drivers said. "That guy is the Demon on the track."
"Wait, what! The demon on the track, I thought that was some urban legend." Noah said, his face stunned by this news.
"You guys didn't stand a chance, it was almost too unfair." Kaito confidently said.
"Man, I have heard of a racer called the demon on the track, but I never imagined that he'd be my partner." Shinji said, with excitement blooming from his face.
"You were really good, Kaito. I'm impressed." The boss said.
The girl who became no.3 stood in front of Kaito. She analyzed him for a while until she took out her hand and said, "You were impressive Demon on the track, your skills are just as how I imagined, If I knew that you were going to be here I wouldn't have participated."
"You're giving me too much credit. I am the best, after all. If all of you knew I was here, then none of you would've come here at all." Kaito responded.
"You're awfully confident, just don't get too cocky, I will destroy you some day." The girl sweared and shaked hands with Kaito.
She took the bag she came with and started walking away, but Kaito stopped her.
"Hey, I didn't get your name. Mine is Kaito. What's your?" He asked.
"My name is Misa, and I look forward to our rematch."
"Same here."
"The interview is over, and Kaito is our new driver. I'm sorry to say this to you all, but you did not get the job." The boss stated.
The air went silent, the birds stopped singing, Noah and the other recruit's eyebrows went down, and their smiles were turned upside down, and they were filled with disappointment.
All of them came with a smile and were about to leave with a frown, except for Noah.
"Yo Kaito, I want to race with you again, and in our next race, I promise that I will win by any means necessary." Noah declared.
Kaito smiled lightly and then looked away.
Everybody else started leaving, but one man refused.
He was 27 years old, and he had been rejected by the Shinsei GP team because they were not hiring another driver, and now that they wanted another driver, he finally thought that it was his chance to shine.
"I wanted to join this team for 7 years, and now that I finally had that chance, I'm not gonna allow a snot nosed brat to take it away from me." The man said, veins popping from his head, and his face was red.
"For someone who finished last, you sure have a lot to say." Kaito mocked.
"Why you, you little brat." The man angrily said.
"What, I'm only speaking the truth. It's hard to have no skills and no talent, but still want something that doesn't suit you. Formula 1 racing is for the pros people like us, not people like you." Kaito continued to mock.
'Man, this guy's ego deserves an award.' Noah thought.
"Skills, I'll show you my skill boy, I challenge you to a race." The man declared.
Hahahahaha! Kaito laughed, laughed, and laughed out loud. "This joke deserves a golden medal."
"Do you really want to humiliate yourself that badly? Wasn't it enough coming at last place?" Kaito asked.
"I said I challenge you to a race.."
"Well, I reject the offer." Kaito said, cutting the man.
"You heard him, now then maybe you'll have more luck when we need another driver." The boss said.
The man felt more humiliated, and so he left.
After everybody had left, the boss and Shinji congratulated Kaito for his superb victory.
"Good work, Kaito. Please come back tomorrow, I have to prepare the contract and you'll meet everybody else tomorrow." The boss said.
It was already afternoon, and it was soon going to be night, Kaito understood and left.
When he got to his home, it was dark, the lights had been turned off, he turned them on, and Suprise!!
Kaito's family threw him a suprise party. His sister then asked, "So is the demon on the track?"
Kaito smirked and then said, "Yeah, the demon is on the track!"
Yeahhhhhh, his family celebrated.
"Congrats, brother." Mikasa said.
"Well, what'd you expect from your big brother?" Kaito asked in a smirk.
"I'd expect no less from you, big bro." She answered.
The next day was Kaito's first day at the Shinsei GP team. His starting time was 09:00, but he arrived at 09:05.
"Well, look, who's late." Shinji said.
"Sorry, where's the boss?" Kaito asked.
"He's not here. He asked me to introduce you to everyone, and when he returns, you'll sign the contract." Shinji explained.
He grabbed Kaiti and went into the warehouse with him. Inside, there were 9 people, 5 girls and 4 boys.
"Allow me to introduce the team.
This is Alex, a member of the pit crew, [Male, 23].
This is Koda, a member of the pit crew, [Male, 25].
This is Enjin, a member of the pit crew, [Male, 23].
This is Mr Nicolo, our driving coach, [Male, 34].
This is Alita. She communicates with us in the race, [Female, 24].
This is Kikyo, and she is our strategist, [Female,18].
This is Suzune. She is our performance engineer, [Female, 28].
This is Mai. She is our data analyst, [Female, 29].
Then we got our tomboy, Alexis, she is our chief mechanic, [Female, 22].
And that's everyone in our crew." Shinji introduced.
"It's nice to meet you all. You probably know of me, but allow me to reintroduce myself, I am Kaito Ren, your second driver." He said.
"Great to meet you, kid." Enjin said.
Alexis walked to his direction, and then she said, "Nice to meet you, kid. I just wanted you to know that if you dare damage the cars, I will bury you, boy."
"Kaito, Alexis is our chief mechanic, and she doesn't like it when somebody damages the cars." Shinji explained.
Kaito got along with his team, and they liked him as well.
