In fact, upon closer consideration, this ability was almost like a bug for Shao Zifeng—his cheat had to be activated by looking directly at someone, while for Hu Shiwu it was the exact opposite; the more he was out of sight, the more he would slowly be forgotten by others.
What was even more troubling was that at this point, several people had their backs to Hu Shiwu, which meant his ability worked when everyone disregarded his presence, an utterly unresolvable issue.
Could it be that he was actually an SCP containment subject?
