5 years later
Ren was drinking the purifying water with his friends Raphael and Ruth by his side.Over the past five years he had grown accustomed to the wondrous liquid to the taste and feel of it running down his throat and entering his innards.
He had also bathed in the purifying water every day for 2 hours straight for 2 years at which point Derek told him he no longer had to do it as his skin was cleared of impurities and his pores were open.
Drinking the purifying the water was simply more effective in terms of increasing his mana capacity.Not having to bathe in the magical liquid was also beneficial as Ren could focus more on regular physical training.
Rens mornings were spent on physical training whilst his evenings and afternoons were spent learning magic.It took 2 years until Derek claimed that Ren finally had the ability to learn magic.Luckily for Ren he had a perfect memory and was able to perfectly remember everything in his life including all the bad moments.
It took a full year for Ren to learn to manipulate the mana within his body to an acceptable degree.It started off with learning how to reinforce the body and with mana to increase physical abilities.It took six months for Ren to learn how to reinforce his body instantaneously.
Then Ren took six months learning how to emit the mana from his body in a controlled way.Learning this earned Ren the right to learn spells and formations.Ren gained access to spell books and tomes dropped by monsters.
For the remaining two years Ren continued to train hard as well as learned magical spells.The magical knowledge Ren had gained and memorised even allowed him to create three of his own spells.Granted it took him a couple of months for each individual spell to be created.
The three new spells were named by Ren as weapon flame coating,weapon ice coating and weapon flame arc.
The first consisted of coating any kind of weapon in scorching flame that could stay on the weapon for as long as the user could keep providing mana to fuel the spell.
The second was the same but it consisted of coating the blade in unfrozen ice mana.
The third spell made use of the first in that it used a weapon coated in fire in order to launch an arc of fire.
Derek encouraged Ren to share his magical spells with the rest of the village.Ren was reluctant at first but he obliged and wrote down the new spells in his own personal spell tome.This spell tome was placed in the mages library of the village where anyone could read it.On top of that Ren could collect the tome at any time and add new spells to it but only he could do this.
This earned the respect of all the mages and non mages in the group alike as Ren was increasing the villages foundation in magic.Even kasper admitted that Ren had finally become useful to the village and acknowledged him.
All the mages in Rens group were eager to learn a newly created spell from him as well as befriend him.Raphael acted as a sort of gate keeper but he also wanted new spells from Ren.He specifically asked for a flashy finishing move with which to use on monsters during their coming of age rites.
Ruth had developed a crush on Raphael over the years but she was still grateful for Rens efforts and remained friends with him.They were all 18 now and Ruth was planning to ask Raphael out once they completed their coming of age rites.
All three were confident in their strengh as their physical abilities and mana had grown more powerful over the years.Ren was now an upper tier in terms of physical strengh alone and could punch through a two metre reinforced concrete wall and move so fast he could create after images of himself in the normal human eye.He could reinforce his body with mana to go far beyond that.Speaking of mana Rens mana capacity had increased to 11560 over the five years of magic training.Ren was highly confident that he could beat kasper in a fight.
Ruth was now a bit weaker then Ren physically but her mana was more powerful with a mana capacity of 22360 over the five years of magical training.
Raphael however had eclipsed both of them in terms of his physical strengh,speed and talent.On top of that he now had a mana capacity of 42320.
"I want to travel the world with you two."
"Huh"
"Huh"
A moment of silence passed as Ren and Ruth processed what had just been said by Raphael.
"The hell do you mean you want to travel the world." Ruth angrily rebuked Raphael.
"I'm aware that you know what I mean.There is a bigger world out there then our village and I want to see it.I also want to bring you two with me." Raphael said in a matter of fact tone.
"But what about the village you can't just abandon it."
"Yes I can,there's plenty of people to replace us three.No one will notice our absence." The three then looked around at the multiple generations of children who were training for their village.It was undoubtable that future talents would rise amongst them.
"The village won't take kindly to you leaving." Ruth said as she hurried off.
"I know"
