I stood there, my leg feeling like jelly, my heart shattered into a million pieces.
The scene before me was like a cruel joke, a harsh reality that I couldn't escape. He was cheating on me, and with another woman, no less. That woman was Francesca, his late brother's wife.
The pain was like a knife twisting in my gut, making it hard to breathe. I tried moving inside, I wanted to confront him, he was mad that a guy touched me and here he was allowing another woman to sit on him.
"What are you doing?" I heard Mareclloe ask behind but I was more than annoyed to respond. I moved forward but his firm grip stopped me.
I turned to him and lashed out at him, but Marcello pulled me away, shutting the door behind us.
I stared at him, my eyes welling up with tears. "I told you not to go inside," he mumbled, his voice barely audible.
My heart broke even more at his words. Did he see that as nothing? I didn't say a word, my whole body feeling weak.
