Chapter 11 - Castle at dark

As the Pattons arrived at the castle, they were greeted by a group of guards in formal attire. The guards bowed respectfully and led the family through a paved path, lined with neatly manicured gardens and ornate fountains. The sound of retiring chirping birds and gentle rustling of leaves filled the air as they walked.

As they turned a corner, the Pattons saw a large courtyard filled with horses and carriages, other guests.They spotted their own caravan among the others, and Mr. Patton nodded in satisfaction. The guards led them to a designated area where they could disembark.

Mrs. Patton with Olivia, Drae, and Matt in tow followed a liveried servant through a grand entrance. They were led into a magnificent building that seemed to shine with an inner light. The fires and candles illuminated its radiance, casting a warm glow over the opulent decor.

The servant bowed low and led them to a set of rooms that seemed to stretch on forever. The Pattons' eyes widened as they took in the grandeur of their surroundings. The entire region designated to them was twice as big as their house, and they were told this was the commoners' guest house.

This is incredible, Mrs. Patton breathed, her eyes shining with wonder. I've never seen anything like it, not even as the baron's daughter, everyone turned back at her but she shooked it off seemingly as a visitation.

The servant smiled, his face creasing with pleasure. Welcome to the castle, Lady Patton. I trust you will find your accommodations satisfactory, please another would read on the guidelines of castles guests after you have relaxed. He continued, soon a pass card would be administered to the Pattons.

As the servant showed them around the rooms, the Pattons couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The furniture was intricately carved, and the tapestries on the walls depicted scenes of hunting and feasting. The rooms were filled with the scent of fresh flowers, and the sound of soft music drifted through the corridors.

This is more than we could have ever expected, Mr. Patton said, his voice filled with gratitude. Thank you for your hospitality.

The servant bowed, his expression formal. "It's our pleasure, sir. Lord Harrington has instructed us to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. You will be attending the grand gathering tomorrow evening, and we have prepared a special dinner for you tonight. Lord Harrington was who gave the card issuer so knowingly they were under him.

As the servant departed, the Pattons explored their new surroundings. Olivia and Matt ran from room to room, laughing and squealing with delight. Drae examined the intricate carvings on the furniture, his eyes shining with curiosity, the famous architecture carved this she spoke lowly in delight, Lord Bran

Mrs. Patton smiled, watching her children with a warm heart.

I'm so glad we're here she said to Mr. Patton. This is going to be an adventure they'll never forget.

Mr. Patton nodded, his eyes filled with agreement. Indeed it is, my dear. And we're grateful for Lord Harrington's hospitality and a one time shot to take us up the ladder and you back to your pinnacle or further.

As they settled into their rooms, the Pattons couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They knew that the next few days would be filled with wonder and adventure, and they were eager to explore the castle and its surroundings the very next morning.

The sound of a gong echoed through the corridors, signaling the start of dinner. The Pattons were escorted and given an entrance pass the made their way to the dining hall, their stomachs growling with anticipation and for Drae just pure hunger. They were led to a grand table, set with fine unique ceramics and crystal glasses.

The dinner was a sumptuous feast, with course after course of delicious food. The Pattons ate with relish, savoring the flavors and textures of each dish. They chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company in their luxurious surroundings.

As the night wore on, the Pattons retired to their rooms, feeling grateful and content. They knew that this was just the beginning of their adventure, and they were eager to see what the next day would bring. They couldn't wait but patience is key they say
