The news about Lacie's accident didn't make it to the news, since the public was only concerned about the population, families and people they knew. So it was easy to move Lacie to Beckfrist hospital without reporters bothering them.
A pale and worn-out looking Mila followed her sister closely, not even blinking. When Lacie was properly transferred to another ward, the nurses checked her once more before leaving the patient to rest.
"I heard you cried so much that day," Lacie muttered, a smile curling her charred lips.
Mila ignored her sister, acting like she didn't know she had woken up. She continued unpacking Lacie's things with a serious look on her face.
"Were you afraid you were going to lose me?" Lacie teased, "I didn't know I was loved so."
Mila finished unpacking and got the fruits out of the basket, slowly putting them in a tray.
"You're ignoring me? Maybe I shouldn't have woken up."
Mila dropped the orange she was holding and turned. "You think this is a joke?"
