A few days later, the Going Merry arrived at Midwife Isle. I stood against the rail of the deck listening to the call of seagulls with William on my shoulder. By this point, my stomach had started to show a little bit. Something did tell me that Zoro could be right about the fact that I could be carrying a boy.
Zoro came up behind me and kissed my neck. "Hey, my demoness. I promised that I'd return to you and our son. I'm still convinced that it's your carrying."
I leaned my head against his shoulder. "You have a bit of a scar on your cheek, but nothing too serious."
Zoro nodded and put a hand on my stomach. "I can feel him moving inside you."
"As long as he's strong and healthy."
Once the Going Merry safely landed at the port city of Saving Lives. Luffy, myself, Nami, and Zoro disembarked while Sanji and Usopp stayed behind. Saving Lives was busy with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals where walking around buying the tools and the other times that they needed.
Luffy smiled big. "This place is huge. We'll never find the person we're looking for in a place like this."
I laughed. "Oh, we'll find Sara. She's not hard to spot."
"Oh my God!! Do my eyes deceive me? Kat and her bounty hunter love Zoro?"
I turned my head. "Hey, Sara. It's been a while."
Sara nodded and hugged me. "Where did you drag out this hunk?" She walked over to Zoro, running a hand over his arm. "Seriously, girl, where did you find him? He's hot."
I chuckled. "Childhood. And hands off. He's mine."
Sara smiled. "I know I'm only teasing. In any case, do you know what you're having?"
"Zoro is highly convinced that it's a boy."
Sara nodded. "Well, I'll take you to my place and we'll make sure.
We returned to her place so that she could perform an ultrasound. She held my hand to ensure we made it out of the busy square alive. Once we made it outside the square we went down a sidestreet into a quiet little house.
Sara closed the door behind us. "A girl needs her office to be free of strangers. That includes expected fathers."
Zoro frowned. "Oh, come on, I don't get to see my son move inside her?"
I smile. "Come on, Sara, let him in."
Sara nodded. "But only Zoro. The others have to wait outside."
Luffy and Nami nodded and stayed outside the house.
Sara had me lie on a table and pull my shirt up just enough so that she could perform the ultrasound. She smiled. "Well, your man's not wrong. You are indeed having a son. He's strong and healthy." Sarah pointed to the picture on the screen. "That's him right there."
I looked up at Zoro, who held my hand. "My son. I guess you were right. We're having a boy."
Zoro kissed my forehead. "My son will be strong like his mother." He smirked. "Plus I get a good view of your tits."
I giggled. "Hey, naughty boy. You'll get that later."
Sara chuckled and finished up the ultrasound. "Alright. You two are free to go. Don't be strangers."
I nodded and took Zoro's hand as I dismounted the table. "Are you sure that you don't want to join us? It would be nice to have another girl in the group."
Sara smiled. "I'm sure. I have enough work to do here."
I smile. "I get it." I hugged her before leaving.
Nami came over to Zoro and me. "So, what's the verdict?"
"We're having a boy. You could say that Zoro's father's instinct was right on."
Luffy nodded. "Is she gonna join us?"
I shook my head. "She's too busy. I get it."
After some time on the island, the four of us headed back towards the ship after gathering the supplies that we needed. It was sad to leave but there was more sea to explore and people to visit.
Zoro held my hand to lead me through the crowd to make sure that we got back to the ship ok. He smiled, knowing that he was having a boy.
