Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: Sasuke at Imperial Elementary School, History of the Mythological Age

After enrolling in the Otherworld Empire, Sasuke found himself immersed in a rigorous academic schedule. His daily coursework included:

Chakra Control

Chakra and Ninjutsu Principles

Ideological and Political Studies

History of the Empire

Various Other Subjects

The days were exhausting, but among all the subjects, the one that shook Sasuke to his core the most was history.

The contents of the Empire's history textbooks completely shattered his previous worldview.

"What the hell is this?"

Sasuke's heart pounded as he read through the material.

According to the textbooks, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, the so-called "Chakra Ancestor" of the ninja world, was actually an alien!

And even more shocking—her status in the grand scheme of the Ōtsutsuki Clan wasn't as high as he thought. She was merely comparable to the branch family of the Hyūga Clan!

The Sage of Six Paths, revered as the ancestor of all ninja, once fought alongside his brother Hamura Ōtsutsuki to seal their own mother.

And then there was this…

The two sons of the Sage of Six Paths—Ōtsutsuki Indra and Ōtsutsuki Asura—were the origins of a centuries-long conflict. Their rivalry over the inheritance of ninjutsu led to a never-ending cycle of reincarnations, dragging their descendants into eternal conflict.

"As far as the facts go, there's nothing wrong with this."

Inside Sasuke's mind, Indra Ōtsutsuki spoke to him.

This was no ordinary occurrence.

After Ōtsutsuki Tenma stripped Indra's chakra imprint from Sasuke's body, he infused it with additional chakra, creating a state similar to a tailed beast inside a Jinchūriki.

And surprisingly, after Sasuke's emotional breakdown back at the Uchiha compound, it was Indra who had comforted him for hours.

At this point, Sasuke had fully accepted Indra's presence within him.

"He's my ancestor, and we're bound by chakra reincarnation anyway."

Rather than resisting, Sasuke simply treated him like a portable mentor—someone he could converse with at any time.

"The only issue is…"

Indra's voice turned hesitant, piquing Sasuke's curiosity.

"The description is a little too detailed."

Sasuke frowned. What does he mean by that?

Even the reincarnation of Indra and Asura's chakra was explicitly recorded in the textbook!

And as if that weren't enough—

His private conversation with his father before his death, where he declared an eternal battle with Asura…

It was written in the textbook's sidebar like a historical anecdote.

"Who the hell compiled this book?!"

Indra was speechless.

"It describes everything—characters, dialogues, locations—as if someone actually witnessed it firsthand!"

This was history from thousands of years ago! How could anyone from this era know so much about it?

"So this is the truth about chakra…"

Sasuke felt as though his entire understanding of the world had been overturned.

Ōtsutsuki Kaguya wasn't just an outsider—she was merely one member of a greater alien force.

The Ōtsutsuki Clan was a threat not just to the ninja world but to all life itself.

Suddenly, Indra let out a long sigh.

"Now I finally understand why Grandmother Kaguya was always afraid."

Even when he, his father, his uncle Hamura, and his brother Asura viewed Kaguya as the most powerful being they had ever seen—

Even then, she was terrified.

"She wasn't afraid of us."

"She was afraid of her own kind—the Ōtsutsuki Clan."

Kaguya betrayed her clan to plant the Chakra Tree and take power for herself. And now, the threat of more Ōtsutsuki arriving in the ninja world was very real.

"Tsk." Indra scoffed.

"My father's ideals were naive. He actually believed in mutual understanding."

"But tell me, Sasuke—how do you expect 'understanding' to stop the Ōtsutsuki?"

Sasuke, lost in thought, slowly nodded.

The Ōtsutsuki Clan weren't just powerful—they were predators.

Trying to "understand" them was a joke.

In the end, only power mattered.

"Hey, Sasuke."

A small voice snapped Sasuke out of his thoughts.

A young girl, no older than ten, tilted her head and stared at him.

"Who were you talking to just now?"

Sasuke's face flushed red.

Damn it!

He had been talking to Indra inside his head—but to anyone watching, it looked like he was talking to himself.

"Nothing!" He quickly answered.

"I was just… reciting the book. That's all!"

"These kids are so annoying."

Sasuke gritted his teeth as he looked around the classroom.

This Imperial Elementary School was filled with children.

The oldest student was only ten years old—and he was twelve!

As a descendant of Uchiha, he was already considered a genius.

Why the hell was he stuck in elementary school?!

To make things worse, the girls in the class kept bothering him!

"Damn it! Can't these brats leave me alone?!"

He wasn't here for this nonsense.

All he cared about was getting stronger—strong enough to kill Uchiha Itachi.

Sasuke let out a sigh.

"Alright… let's set a small goal first."

"Graduate from elementary school as soon as possible and move on to junior high."

Meanwhile, in the Land of Waves…

Jiraiya stood in place, his face twisted in disbelief.

Across from him, Menma had just finished explaining the so-called "true history" of the ninja world.

And the more Jiraiya listened…

The more his brain refused to accept it.

Chakra ancestors. Ninja ancestors. Indra and Asura. Senju and Uchiha.

And worst of all—

An alien race that devours planets?!

"What the hell is all this?!"

But Menma looked completely serious.

Jiraiya was starting to wonder…

"Wait… could this actually be true?"

"If it is… then is this really the ninja world I know?"

"And so, the Mythological Age came to an end."

Menma cleared his throat and concluded his lesson.

In the Empire, history was divided into four distinct eras:

The Mythological Age

The Sengoku Era

The Ninja Village Era

The Imperial Era

Menma crossed his arms and turned to Jiraiya.

"Now, Jiraiya…"

"You always believed in the 'Child of Prophecy.'"

"You wanted that child to bring peace to the ninja world."

Menma's golden eyes narrowed.

"But tell me—now that you know about the Ōtsutsuki Clan, how do you plan to fight them?"

Jiraiya was silent for a long time.

Finally, he sighed and answered:

"If what you're saying is true… then the Ōtsutsuki Clan is the enemy of all life."

"In that case, the Child of Prophecy must unite the entire ninja world against them."

Menma and Kuro Kakashi exchanged knowing glances.

"Tch. This guy really is hopeless."

Jiraiya still believed in unification.

But against the Ōtsutsuki Clan?

"That won't be enough."

Only power mattered.

And Jiraiya was too blind to see it.
