Thorne, who had won and was still standing, started walking toward Garling's office to let them know he was now ready.
He had taken maybe five steps when he suddenly collapsed. Garling, who knew Thorne had been walking due to his sheer willpower, anticipated his collapse. He had already ordered his servants to stand by and pick him up to place him in the recovery room, which was filled with doctors and various equipment that would immediately heal his wounds.
The next morning, Thorne woke up, finding himself wrapped and bandaged throughout his body. He was in a private room at a hospital, with all of his weapons already on the table beside him. Thorne sat up, realizing it was now time for training with Shamrock. He called a doctor, who immediately ran into his room.
"Am I fit to train?" Thorne asked the doctor, who was checking his condition.
"Fascinating," the doctor said to himself, noticing that Thorne was completely healed and could already fight with the same brutality as he did yesterday.
"Based on my findings, it seems that you are fit to train. It seems your body's natural healing ability has been enhanced by your Devil Fruit," the doctor said, giving his opinion, knowing Thorne's full medical history.
"Then, I'll go home first to ready myself," Thorne said to the doctor, who was removing the apparatus connected to his body.
Thorne then stood up, gathered all his weapons, and went straight toward the mansion of Figarland, where he was greeted by Seraphina, who had learned that he defeated an official member of God's Knights even before finishing his proper training, showcasing his talent.
"I'm so proud of you. You're just 7 years old but have the strength to beat Sommers," Seraphina said to Thorne, hugging him as Thorne simply hugged his mother back.
"Can I have breakfast? Make it as much as possible," Thorne said to the servant, who bowed his head before leaving immediately. He was Thorne's trusted butler, directly serving him in the Castle of Figarland but free when he wasn't.
"You can let go now, mother," Thorne said to Seraphina, who was still hugging him.
"Alright, since my little Thorne is growing up, he needs to look the part," Seraphina said after letting go of the hug.
"Where is the Lunarian?" Thorne asked Seraphina, who he had entrusted with the baby he saved, knowing that Garling would have killed it immediately.
"She is safe, being raised by a loyal CP agent who is teaching her loyalty to our family, especially to you," Seraphina replied, and Thorne just smiled and nodded, realizing that not only did he save a life, but he also earned a potential strong ally.
Thorne waited for a bit until the servant he ordered to bring food returned, accompanied by a lot of kitchen staff who brought a large amount of food, which Thorne immediately began eating.
Every time Thorne eats like this, it's either after being injured or before undergoing more intense training. Now, he was both, so he ate to his heart's content, reminding himself to visit the Baratie Restaurant.
'I would love to try Zeff's cooking and possibly Sanji, before he became a pirate,' Thorne thought while still eating the food prepared by the chef.
After two hours of eating, Thorne sat back, his stomach full, almost bulging and threatening to explode. He was now alone in the dining hall since Seraphina had decided to leave the castle due to her prior arrangements.
Thorne then went to the God's Knight HQ to meet with Shamrock, who would be his new instructor. On the way to the office, he met with Shepard, who was now fine and had already healed from his wounds from yesterday's fight.
"Shepard, how are you?" Thorne greeted Shepard, who looked at him and smiled.
"Call me Sommers. You defeated me, meaning you're already stronger than me, and that deserves my respect," Sommers said, telling Thorne to call him by his first name.
"How are you then, Sommers?" Thorne asked again, addressing him differently.
"Great, actually. The only reason I didn't heal immediately was due to the extensive damage you did," Sommers explained, explaining why he didn't heal right away.
"How are you able to heal again? Isn't healing an ability of a Zoan DF?" Thorne asked, seeking clarification on the insane healing factor shown in the manga from his past life, remembering how Saint Saturn immediately healed his hands despite being cut into multiple pieces.
"You'd have to be an official member of God's Knight to know, since we're not allowed to disclose anything," Sommers said very seriously, changing his tone from happy to serious.
"I guess I'll just wait," Thorne said. They talked some more before Thorne left to start his day with Shamrock, who was already waiting in Garling's office.
"You're incredibly late," Shamrock said, looking at Thorne with a serious expression.
"Forgive me then, Commander. I went home and cleaned myself before coming back. I also ate before coming, so I spent a lot of time," Thorne explained, just as Gunko suddenly entered the office.
"You called for me, Commander? Supreme Commander?" Gunko said, addressing both Shamrock and Garling with great respect and admiration, something Thorne had noticed over the years.
"This is my other son, Thorne. I want you to teach him how to use Armament Haki for now. Shamrock has an emergency mission," Garling explained to Gunko, who nodded in approval without much thought.
"This way, Thorne," Gunko then led Thorne into a room where another mark of the abyss was located, teleporting both of them to a random island.
Thorne looked around and thought it resembled the island he had visited before in the hunt for slaves and prisoners, where he became the champion.
