The Dragon Ball world, desert region.
Still inside that well‑forged "house," Puar next door hadn't woken up yet, softly snoring.
The process of breaking through the fourth wall and traveling between worlds doesn't consume time in that world, but time still passes for Yamcha's body. In other words, if Yamcha stays in another world for more than ten years, he'll age by ten years.
"Quite a haul," Yamcha said as he toyed with the "arrow" once more after returning to the Dragon Ball world.
In the end, the "arrow" ended up in Yamcha's hands—aside from gaining Stand abilities, this was his greatest gain.
Truly good stuff—even if he couldn't use it right away.
But good stuff is good stuff.
He carefully stowed the "arrow" away.
Yamcha's expression turned serious. "As usual, there's one important thing to do next."
He gazed at the mountain‑high backpack and slowly broke into a genuine smile.
"I'll sell all this for cash."
Before he left, he'd sold his last Universal Capsule—to the SPW Corporation behind Jotaro—and at a very nice price.
Because currencies between worlds don't circulate, but some valuables do—gold, jewels, tech items can still be traded.
So Yamcha had bought up a bunch of things in that world and brought them all back. Now he just needed to sell them and convert them into money.
Though it was a hassle and he'd lose some profit, he needed money immediately.
No choice. He was too broke.
If he didn't do this trade, he wouldn't even be able to afford meals.
He'd been that strapped before because in the other worlds, things like Universal Capsules couldn't be sold.
What could he trade a Universal Capsule for with Nobita? Or on Doraemon's world's black market?
Forget it.
People in that world had weird tastes and didn't know real value.
He might as well have traded a falling‑apart camera to Nobita and gotten a "Superpower Training Box."
If the Time Patrol hadn't interfered, he could've emptied Doraemon's fourth‑dimensional pocket with a pile of junk and that spendthrift Nobita, Yamcha thought angrily.
"Now, let's look at my biggest prize this trip."
"Come forth, my Stand."
Yamcha's body began to radiate rhythmic waves as a figure slowly rose behind him.
It was a massive pink sphere—no, a huge pink meatball‑shaped creature. A gargantuan mouth filled two‑thirds of its body, packed with devilishly sharp teeth. The remaining one‑third was taken up by a pair of adorably big eyes. When its mouth was closed, it looked cute. Small arms and legs were almost hidden under its bulk.
This was Yamcha's Stand.
"Café au Lait!"
"Za Warudo!"
At the moment Yamcha shouted "Zawarudo," the pink creature's expression shifted. A face uncannily like Jonathan Joestar's emerged, slowly transforming into Jotaro's Stand, Star Platinum.
But it was only a face.
Star Platinum's visage was printed on the huge pink meatball, and combined with its stubby little limbs, it struck an irresistibly ridiculous figure.
In the next instant, the entire world flickered between black and white, freezing as if time had stopped. Only Yamcha remained able to move.
Time Stop—an ultimate art.
About 0.2 seconds later, everything resumed as if nothing had happened.
This was Yamcha's Stand, named—Red Heresy.
Six‑stat data: Destructive Power E, Precision A, Endurance C, Range E, Potential ?, Speed C.
On the surface, a pitiful set of stats—useless beyond precision. But the "?" for Potential signified the unknown; it might turn out good or bad (likely good). Its ultimate growth would depend on Yamcha's future state of mind.
The Stand's power levels weren't fixed—they would grow alongside his own strength. He was only thirteen years old now; when he matured, every stat would multiply many times over.
Ability One: Master Mimic
Description: Can imitate any Stand ability he has seen, though currently at only one‑tenth the effect.
For example, Jotaro's Star Platinum can stop time for two seconds; Red Heresy achieves 0.2 seconds.
Although it seems unimpressive, Yamcha believed that as his own strength grew, one day he'd reach 100% mimicry.
Ability Two: For Our Lost Youth
Description: ?
Compared to Ability One's clear mimicry, Yamcha had no idea what Ability Two did—he hadn't figured it out yet.
But even just Ability One was enough for his current needs.
A 0.2‑second time stop might be of little use in other worlds—at most it made him react faster. But in the Dragon Ball world, it was a different story.
In Dragon Ball Super, Universe 6's strongest warrior Hit's Time‑Skip technique, at full power, only pauses time for 0.5 seconds. Yamcha's 0.2 seconds would certainly be effective in the early Dragon Ball era.
If he eventually achieved Jotaro's full five‑second time stop, his survival ability would skyrocket; opponents of equal level would stand no chance.
And it wasn't just time stop—he would also have one‑tenth the healing of Crazy Diamond, the support of Pearl Jam, the space‑erasing might of Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, and so on.
Even at one‑tenth effectiveness, for Yamcha it was a massive power boost. Before visiting the JoJo world, even ten of him couldn't defeat himself now.
He'd also learned a great deal of pharmacology on this trip, which combined with Pearl Jam's support could greatly accelerate his training.
One world alone gave him such an upgrade—if he visited more, he'd be even more secure, even living in the Dragon Ball world.
Yamcha felt confident about his future.
"ORA ORA ORA ORA!"
Perhaps sensing Yamcha's joy, his Stand Red Heresy began to throw its fists.
For a moment, it actually looked like Star Platinum.
Unfortunately, at Destructive Power E, it was useless in direct combat beyond its special abilities.
Well, Kira's arrow could wait—first, he'd finish developing his Stand, then he'd worry about that.
