Chapter 15 - 15 The Thunder from Above

After surveying his summoned forces, Rai decided to launch an aerial assault first. The Thunder Eagles, not only fast but capable of firing lightning bullets, were perfect for dodging the enemy's arrows.

With a shriek that split the sky, the Thunder Eagles dove in from all directions. The Milk Maid Jinns quickly regrouped to defend their master. Only the leader among them possessed radiant succubus wings that shimmered with pink light. Hovering above her troops, she gracefully extended her wings and summoned a massive heart-shaped shield of glowing pink energy to protect her forces.

A storm of lightning bullets struck the shield in rapid succession. Thunder cracked through the battlefield, echoing like a divine drumbeat. The shield held strong, absorbing the onslaught with a soft, magical shimmer.

Some of the Milk Maid Jinn soldiers retaliated, drawing their bows—but the Thunder Eagles were too swift, evading every shot with ease. That was until one of the jinn, the leader, took action. With a confident smirk, she channeled the pink energy into a whip-like form. The heart-energy whip lashed out, striking a few of the eagles mid-air, sending bursts of feathers and sparks into the sky.

But Rai's attack didn't end there.

From four directions, his mighty Golden Lions charged in, their golden hides gleaming under the light. Behind them came the Giant Octopi, three titanic beasts slithering forward with their massive, black-ink-spewing tentacles. The ink wasn't ordinary—it moved with sentience, forming its own army of writhing tendrils, each seeking to grab and choke.

And behind them all, his undead army marched forward in perfect formation—row after row of skeletal warriors, bones rattling with dark energy.

As the Golden Lions drew closer to the village, they began to accelerate.

The village was surrounded by tall wooden walls—imposing but fragile. With a single, earth-shaking slam, the lions brought down the barrier. The splintered wood exploded outward, and the battlefield opened.

One of the massive lions lunged at the heart-shaped barrier, its golden claws slashing with ferocity. The force was enough to tear through the shield, shattering its magical protection.

The Milk Maid Jinn leader with succubus wings didn't stand idly by. She conjured four heart-shaped arrows, their forms flickering like illusions, semi-transparent yet ominous.

She released them toward the four Golden Lions.

Unlike normal arrows that bounced off the lions' golden hide, these heart-arrows passed smoothly into their bodies—without piercing skin, without drawing blood. They vanished upon entry, like dreams fading into waking.

Moments later, the lions trembled and seized violently, letting out distorted growls. Their movements turned sluggish, their eyes unfocused, as if wracked by unbearable hallucinations.

Rai scowled.

He immediately ordered the giant octopi to fire their cursed ink. The black fluid slithered through the cracks in the newly-formed barrier. In an instant, the ink twisted and rose—becoming tentacles that lashed out, wrapping tightly around several Milk Maid Jinn.

Chaos spread.

Among the jinn, two stood out:

A male Milk Maid Jinn, wielding a large pink blade with precision and grace, cutting through tentacles in swift arcs of light.

A female Milk Maid Jinn, who transformed her pink energy into a whip—each strike severing black tentacles mid-air, her movements fluid and fierce.

But many of the Milk Maid Jinn were already ensnared by the ink tentacles, struggling and shrieking as they were dragged down. The Golden Lions, slowly recovering from the heart-arrow illusion, rose to their feet and slammed their massive paws against the barrier once again.

The shimmering heart-shaped shield cracked with a thunderous noise, large fractures spreading like spiderwebs.

Through those gaps, the skeletal warriors surged forward—jagged bone fingers like spears—piercing through the flesh of the immobilized jinn.

The slaughter began.

Screams filled the air as the Milk Maid Jinn faltered under the relentless onslaught. One by one, they fell. In the end, only two still stood:

A male jinn, his pink sword dancing desperately, carving tentacles and bones alike.

A female jinn, lashing out with her pink energy whip, holding the line with furious elegance.

But when their forces crumbled and hope began to vanish, the leader—the one with succubus wings—spread her wings wide. Her wings shimmered with intense pink light as she attempted to soar into the sky.

Rai would never allow that.

From afar, a Nordic Shadow Spider aimed with precise stillness.

Thwip!

A spider silk shot out like a lightning bolt—silent and fast—striking the succubus-winged jinn mid-flight. In a blink, she was wrapped completely, her body mummified by enchanted silk that drained her energy as it bound her.

Seeing their leader trapped, the last two jinn surrendered—dropping their weapons, their bodies weary. Ink tentacles coiled around them gently but firmly, dragging them down among the remains of their comrades.

Above them, Rai's khodam, shaped like a radiant, dark-winged angel, descended gracefully from the sky. The battle was over.

It approached the mummified jinn leader, now kneeling and helpless—her succubus wings crushed beneath the silk cocoon, her aura dimmed.

"Hello, Jinn," Rai said calmly, walking up to the restrained Milk Maid Jinn leader. "I'll give you two choices: become my jinn slave… or die."

The succubus-winged Milk Maid Jinn tensed, clearly conflicted. Her pride burned, but her desire to live burned stronger. Slowly, she lowered her gaze in submission.

It wasn't the promise of human food that swayed her—it was survival.

Seeing her surrender, Rai gave a slight nod. From behind him, Rosso the Shaman stepped forward.

"Alright," Rosso said. "Place your hand on your jinn."

The Milk Maid Jinn was quite tall. For a moment, Rai awkwardly reached out and, by some strange twist of fate—or perhaps simple distraction—his hand landed directly on her large breast.

Rosso didn't even flinch. "Now, channel your khodam energy. If she willingly accepts it, she will become your jinn slave."

Rai sent a steady stream of khodam energy into her. The moment it flowed into her body, her aura began to glow. The jinn energy that once marked her identity was consumed, replaced by the distinct essence of a bound khodam.

"It's done," Rosso confirmed. "She's now officially your slave. What you do with the others is up to you."

But then, the Milk Maid Jinn looked up at Rai with renewed purpose.

"Wait," she said. "I'm a unique breed of Milk Maid Jinn. I can accept followers—if they're willing to submit to me, they can reside within my body as part of my domain."

Rai blinked in surprise. "You're saying… I could collect as many Milk Maid Jinn as I want… through you?"

"Exactly," she replied with a soft smile.

"Very well. Since you are mine now, I'll name you… Susu."

Susu nodded proudly at her new name. Then, she turned to the remaining Milk Maid Jinn—six males and twelve females.

"Will you accept my blessing and become my followers?" she asked.

"We accept," they replied in unison.

With that, their energies shifted. Each of their jinn auras transformed into khodam energy, harmonizing with Susu's. One by one, they vanished into her body, seamlessly fusing with her form.

"I can summon them anytime," Susu said with a smile.

Rosso furrowed his brow. "You should keep the existence of this jinn hidden."

"Why?" Rai asked, confused.
