Chapter Twenty-Seven: Sky Fortress Conquest
While walking through the misty roads outside the Starter Village, Crow paused.
A sharp, vivid memory surfaced from his past life — one he couldn't afford to ignore.
The Sky Fortress.
A massive floating base, naturally formed and hidden high above the clouds.
Ranked 5th Tier — the equivalent of a level 50 structure — it was a fortress capable of flight, bombardment, and troop deployment.
And most importantly, it had a SSS-Rank Core built into it.
[Sky Fortress Core]
[Effect: Stores magical energy and automatically uses it to summon defensive units. Can evolve over time.]
If Crow captured it early, it would become a mobile stronghold,
capable of generating its own army independent of his own resources.
An army... that could defend, raid, and dominate entire regions once the world fused with reality.
There was a catch.
The fortress was protected by a Level 80 Thunder-Ice Dragon —
an ancient beast crackling with frozen lightning.
In Crow's past life, dozens of top guilds had failed to bring it down.
But now?
Now, Crow had Sasha and Aeris — both Divine Rank existences.
Aeris alone could tear a Level 80 dragon apart.
Sasha could slice the skies open with a casual swing.
One shot.
That's all it would take.
Crow's lips curled into a cold smile.
This time, the Sky Fortress would fall... without a single scratch on his forces.
He gathered his main team.
Sasha unsheathed her sword, the divine steel humming with excitement.
Aeris floated silently, her silver hair whipping around her in a gentle storm.
Seraphina shimmered in and out of the mortal plane, bloodthirsty.
Selene stood ready, hand resting lazily on her cursed blade.
They moved without delay.
Crow summoned a wind portal through Aeris's power, shooting them straight into the high atmosphere where the Sky Fortress floated — hidden by magical mist.
The massive structure was beautiful — a vast city of stone and crystal, with runic arrays glowing faintly along its hull.
At its center, wrapped around the core like a sentinel, was the monstrous dragon.
Thunder rumbled. Ice mist swirled.
The beast roared.
Crow pointed lazily at it.
"Kill it."
In an instant, Sasha and Aeris flashed forward.
Aeris struck first — her divine storm blades piercing through the dragon's armored scales effortlessly.
Sasha followed, her sword cleaving through the creature's heart as if slicing paper.
The Thunder-Ice Dragon never even finished its death roar.
Its massive body slammed into the fortress floor with a thundering crash — motionless, defeated.
System messages flooded Crow's vision.
[Boss Defeated: Thunder-Ice Dragon (Lv.80)]
[Reward: 3 SSS-Rank Loot Crystals, 1 SSS-Rank Bloodline Fragment, 1 Mythical Equipment Chest.]
[Sky Fortress - Available for Capture!]
[Would you like to claim ownership?]
Crow casually clicked [Yes].
[Congratulations! You are now the Owner of: Sky Fortress.]
[Sky Fortress Core (SSS-Rank) Activated.]
[Current Energy: 10% (Charging...)]
The massive floating city shifted, its runes aligning with Crow's aura.
The Sky Fortress... was his.
Crow stepped onto the main control platform, overlooking the clouds below.
He could already imagine it:
A flying citadel carrying his undead goblin army, his divine companions, his elven legions...
raining down destruction wherever he wished.
A mobile empire.
A true kingdom in the sky.
