"Take him away!" Carla ordered, shocked that Robin was trying to act like he called the shots. Robin had always had a prideful attitude that irked her so much, even though he was just a poor rat.
Now, she wanted to see how he would continue being proud behind bars.
She watched the police officers drag Robin out even after the warning he gave them. Carla now felt she was in power and nothing could stop her, and it was all due to Terry.
Speaking of Terry, she looked down at him again, shaking him awake.
"Are you okay?" She asked as he opened his eyes slowly.
Terry was disoriented and dizzy at first but then when he realized he lay in Carla's arms in the middle of a mess, he shot up.
"Where is that bastard? I will teach him a lesson!" He barked, trying to look strong even though his head and jaw were ringing in pain. He didn't want to look less before Carla and Madam Kia. It was already shameful enough that he took a hit.
"Don't worry. We have taught him a lesson on your behalf." Madam Kia rushed forward, touching Terry to make sure he was okay.
"Really?" Terry smiled. "You did well then, Madam Kia." He commended and she felt over the moon. Madam Kia wanted to do everything to make Terry comfortable, after all, he was their new oil well.
"Quick, come sit, Robin will never disturb us again." She ushered him to the sofa in the sitting area and dragged Carla along. She then made Carla sit on his legs while she excused them.
They were left alone and Carla helped press the bump on the side of Terry's face with a careful expression.
Looking at Terry, he wasn't as handsome as Robin but she didn't mind. Money was what made a man handsome after all.
"Thank you, Terry." She kissed him on the lips and drew back. A look of gratitude displayed on her face, "You got the contract with Julls Corp for me. I shouldn't have let that bastard touch you."
However, Terry's shocked gaze went unnoticed by Carla. "You got the contract?"
"Yes. You said you would put in a good word for me, didn't you?" She said, giving him another kiss.
"Yes…yes…" Terry stuttered, kissing her back. But in his mind, he was confused. Indeed, he had told his father about helping Carla but his father had rejected him instantly, saying the contract wasn't something they could get.
His father clearly stated their small family had no connections with the Julls Corp. How then was Carla able to get the contract, with a small company like hers?
"You will attend the signing event with me tonight, right?" Carla asked, squeezing herself in his arms.
"Yes, sure." Terry nodded. He decided to take credit for the contract, after all, no one would call him out on that.
Seeing how Terry was so attentive to her, Carla felt fulfilled. She now had a man who called the shots and she couldn't wait to flaunt him everywhere, letting everyone know she was the latest girly in town.
Right in that office, Terry didn't spare Carla, he kissed her and even made out with her on the sofa, almost undressing her completely. It was until there was a knock on the door, they stopped.
They were breathless, with lust swimming in their eyes. Carla felt she was going crazy, due to their intense moment. It was something she had not enjoyed in months.
"I need to go now." Terry stood up and quickly dressed up before the person at the door could enter.
"I will see you at the event tonight. Dress sexy, I want everyone to know you are my woman." He said, spanking her butt before leaving.
Carla stood there, disheveled, and couldn't stop thinking about the crazy night they would have later. She would make sure she got Terry drunk so as to sleep with him and eventually get pregnant for him. That way, he would never leave her for another woman.
With those thoughts, brewing in her head, Carla ushered a few cleaners in to clear out the mess, however, she spotted the ring Robin had thrown at her earlier and surprisingly, she had never seen such a ring with Robin before.
"Give me that!" She ordered the cleaner holding onto it.
It was a jade ring and it was identical to the one she had. Carla ran to her bag and took out her ring, only to see that it was a pair with the one Robin had left with her.
"What is going on here?" She whispered, covering her mouth in disbelief.
The ring she had was taken from her best friend, Cora. Cora had said a man she liked once gave it to her and since she would never see the man again, Cora gave the ring to Carla.
And ever since then, Carla kept the ring and hoped to sell it for money soon. However, she never knew she had been fooled all along.
"Those bastards!" She screamed, and the cleaners froze in fear.
"They deceived me." She cried, kicking at the piles of documents the cleaner had already arranged, creating another mess. The cleaners' hearts broke, watching their work being spoiled.
"Ma'am, please, you can't do this–"
"Get out!" Carla screamed in their faces. She was breathing heavily now, and it was as if a knife was being wrenched in her heart.
Carla watched the cleaners leave, with an eerie gaze in her eyes. If Robin was there, she would stab him a hundred times. He ranted about her cheating on him and yet, he was the one who had always been cheating with her best friend!
Carla felt the weight of betrayal and it was too heavy for her to bear.
So, she immediately took out her phone, ready to order Robin's intense beating in police custody.
