Ancient Weapons
**Arin's POV**
The castle shook so hard I almost fell down the stairs.
"Move faster!" Kael shouted behind me as we ran through the dark halls. "They're getting closer!"
I could hear the screams getting louder. Pack members were running everywhere, trying to escape the shadows that had somehow gotten inside our home. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might burst.
"This way," Rowan called from ahead of us. "Father's study is just around the corner."
Another scream rang through the halls, this one much closer. I looked back and saw something that made my blood freeze. Dark shapes were moving along the walls like liquid night, and wherever they touched, the stone turned black.
"Don't look back," Jaxon grabbed my hand and pulled me forward. "Just keep running."
