Chapter 24 - Chapter 25 — The Cool Dad

Dust swirled.

Below, the demon knight roared, swinging his massive blade in violent arcs.

His children fought hard—dodging, clashing, trying to pierce its armor. But their movements were rough. Predictable. Lacking the killing precision Kang Woo had burned into his soul.

From the ledge above, Kang Woo let out a long, disappointed sigh.

> You've had ten years… and this is how you fight?

---

A Whisper of Power

He finally took a step forward.

Just one.

But the entire spire beneath him cracked, sending a low vibration through the air.

He closed his eyes.

And released a fraction of his Qi.

---

The air thickened—instantly.

The temperature dropped.

The very light inside the dungeon dimmed, as if the sun had bowed out of fear.

Below, the demon froze, its blade mid-swing.

It turned slowly—its eyes wide behind its helm.

Its knees trembled.

And then—

CRACK.

It collapsed, forced to the ground by a killing intent so suffocating, even beasts in nearby tunnels screamed and ran.

---

The Children Froze Too

His son's glaive hand trembled.

His daughter's lightning flickered out.

> "W-what… is this…?"

They weren't scared of the demon anymore.

They were scared of the pressure.

And then—

A shadow descended from above.

Their father.

---

Kang Woo Lands

He touched down lightly between them and the demon.

Dust puffed out beneath his feet.

He looked at the kneeling demon knight, completely broken without a finger lifted.

Then he turned to his children.

A casual wave.

> "Yoo, kids."

> "Been a while."

They stared, eyes wide, mouths slightly open.

He dusted off his sleeves.

> "Your mother said I was hard to live with these days."

> "I was expecting stronger kids, to be honest."

> "Is this really how you fight?"

Their jaws dropped.

> "W-what… D–Dad?"

> "You were in a coma…"

> "You're flying—?"

---

The Demon Tries to Speak

> "Y-you... mortal… how dare you make me kneel…?!"

Kang Woo didn't even turn around.

He raised one hand.

> "Bitch, shut up."

A ripple of energy burst from his palm.

A clean wave of pure annihilation.

The demon didn't scream.

Didn't bleed.

It simply… ceased to exist.

Erased.

Gone.

An S-rank dungeon boss—deleted like a smudge on a whiteboard.

---

The silence that followed was louder than any roar.

His children stared in disbelief.

And Kang Woo?

He just cracked his neck.

> "So, are we heading home?"

He turned halfway, then added with a slight smirk:

> "Btw, what were your names again?"

> "Ten years in a coma—I kinda forgot."

He leaned in slightly.

> "Don't tell your mom, okay?"
