The Loud and Santiago siblings had been Gravity Falls, Oregon for close to a week now, and the results were mixed for them. Getting used to life out in the middle of nowhere (Not the Nowhere, mind you) with their Great Uncle was challenging, but everyone tried to make the most of it.
While Ronnie Anne and Bobby stayed with their cousin Soos, and his grandma, who was their father's Arturo Santiago's Aunt, in the town. While the Loud kids stayed with Grunkle Stan, who lived in the woods, and he had converted his house into a tourist trap and he named it the 'Mystery Shack'.
One would think a place like this wouldn't get anyone dumb enough to come and see Stan's very poorly made attractions, but apparently people did come there, and bought it.
Or how Lisa eloquently put it 'Only Homosapien's that produce the same amount of chemical and electrical signals in their Cerebrums as our second eldest sister will be fooled by our Great Uncles poor attempt at a business.'
The Loud's, including Ronnie Anne, were made to work there, or just help around, but apparently Grunkle Stan had found roles for them that was able to make the Shack more interesting. Bobby had started working in the Mystery Shack, and he was doing well, and it also helped that he got to spend more time with Lori, as well as hang out and work along with his cousin Soos. And also hanging out with both Lincoln and Dipper, who he considered the little brothers he never had. The same went for the Loud boys, but it was 'older brother they never had', even though a running joke in the family was that Dipper was older than Lincoln, which made him older, even though it was only by one year.
And they didn't know, was that today would be a whole lot different, and would change how they all perceived their summer would be.
The day so far was slow and boring, like it has been since arriving in Gravity Falls. Everyone was in the gift shop, just hanging around, or doing something around the gift shop Stan had asked them to do. The siblings and Ronnie Anne were momentarily distracted from what they were doing when Mabel energetically started to talk behind a counter.
"Guy's look! He's looking at it! He's looking at it!"
Everyone looked to see a boy around Mabel's age unfolding and reading a letter he had found.
"Do you like me? Yes, definitely… absolutely?" He questioned, and then looked around in confusion.
"I rigged it."
Lincoln raised a brow, and said," Leia, I hate to break this to you, but you seem to go a little overboard with this."
"Yeah, we know your going through the whole 'Boy Crazy' phase, but I think you're kind of overdoing it with the 'crazy part'." Dipper agreed.
Leia blew a raspberry, and said," What? Come on you guys! This is our first summer away from home! It's my big chance to have an epic summer romance!"
Ronnie Anne rolled her eyes, and said," As long as it's not anything like how Bobby and Lori's relationship is, but toning it down is better."
Lori was about to agree, but she caught what the young Latina had said, and said," We aren't that bad. Right Boo-Boo Bear?"
Bobby, who was busy placing stuff on the shelf, looked at his girlfriend, and said," Nope, don't think so babe."
Soos, who was busy drilling something in, had a happy look and said," One day, I hope to find someone to cherish like what you have with Lori."
"Don't worry cuz, any girl will be lucky to have you." Bobby reassured.
"Has heartwarming as that is dudes, but the point is sis, is that you tend to flirt with any dude who crosses your path. Heck, I don't think any of us was that bad." Luna said.
"Even I find it slightly weird." Lucy said.
It was true, ever since they had arrived in Gravity Falls, Mabel had tried to flirt with boys around her age, or a couple of years older than her. The most recent was a boy in the gift shop, a guy with a turtle, and a teen in a King's mascot costume who worked for a mattress store.
Luan gave her sister a teasing look, and said," Oh? And how did you interact with Sam?"
Luna raised a brow, and said," Benny?"
"Touché."
Mabel wasn't deterred by what they said." Mock all you want brothers, sisters, and friends. But I got a good feeling about this summer. I wouldn't be surprised if the man of my dreams walked through that door right now."
As if on cue, Stan walked through the opening, burped, but it got caught in his throat.
"Oh! Ow, not good."
"Aww! Why?" Mabel said in disgust.
Everyone else snickered, laughed or teased her.
"He looks like a real catch." Ronnie Anne snickered.
"Oh for sure." Lincoln snickered as well, and they fist-bumped.
"All right, everyone, look alive." Stan said to them.
Leni gave him a confused look, and said," Aren't we already alive?"
Everyone face-palmed, with Stan saying," That's not what I meant. I need someone to go hammer up these signs in the spooky part of the woods."
"Not it!" Everyone, sans Lucy said.
"Uh, also not it." Soos said.
"Also not it. It sounds scary." Bobby said with a shiver.
"That'll win you point with Lori, kid." Stan sarcastically muttered, and ignored the glare from Lori. "Also, no asked you Soos."
"I know, and I'm comfortable with that." He said, and took a bite out of a chocolate bar.
"Wendy, I need you to put up the signs!"
Wendy, who was sitting and reading a magazine at the cash register, 'attempted' reach the signs, and said," I would but I ugh… can't… reach it… ugh."
"I'd fire all of you if I could. All right, lets make it… eenie, meenie, miney… you." He finished, and pointed at Dipper.
"Aw, what? Grunkle Stan, whenever I'm in those woods, I feel like I'm being watched." Dipper said, feeling slightly worried.
"Ugh, this again." Stan said with an eye role.
The others felt the same, they were used to their brothers conspiracy theories
"It's just the spirits of the woods, haunting where they were last seen alive." Lucy said, and Lynn, who was standing next to her, took a couple of steps away from her.
"That isn't what I meant Luce, but thanks for that. But something weird is going on this town. Just today, my mosquito bites spelled out 'beware'." He said and showed everyone his arm.
Everyone looked at Lucas's arm, and it was shown that the bites did spell out a word, but it was spelled wrong.
"That says 'bewarb'." Stan corrected.
Lisa inspected Dipper's arm in interest.
"Fascinating, the bite pattern from the Insecta Culicidae that bit you made it look like a word. I may need to conduct some tests for further analysis."
Dipper gulped, knowing how that would go, and said," Maybe later."
"Talk science mumbo-jumbo later. Quit being paranoid and put up those signs." Stan said and handed them to Dipper.
Dipper sighed, and walked out of the shack. He only made it a few steps outside when he heard someone walking after him. He looked over his shoulder, and saw Lincoln.
"I might as well help. What are brothers for?" He said.
Dipper smiled a little, and said," Thanks Linc."
The boys were later nailing signs up on trees that would lead to the Mystery Shack. Lincoln listened as his brother voiced his displeasure about their Great Uncle not believing what he said earlier. He did feel bad for him, besides Dipper, Lincoln himself was into the paranormal and other things that can't be explained, and half the stuff they say usually fall on deaf ears.
The both of them had thick skin, living with eleven sisters helped, but they did feel down sometimes.
Lincoln hammering in a sign, when he heard his brother call out for him.
"Hey Linc, check this out."
Lincoln went over to the tree Dipper was at, and Dipper banged the hammer on the tree, and it made a metallic sound.
"Huh, that's odd." Lincoln said.
Dipper swiped his hand over the tree, and felt a small opening, and then opened up the door to find a mechanical box with two switches on the top. Dipper flipped both switches, and they then heard something opening behind them. They turned around, and saw a hole had appeared. Both brothers cautiously went over to it, and looked into it, and found a book.
Lucas picked it up, dusted it off the dust and cobwebs, and it was shown to be a red book with a hand that six fingers on it, and the number '2'.
Dipper then opened the first page, and it was shown to have 'Property of', but the name was ripped out. He then turned the page, and read the first sentence that was marked 'June 18th'.
"'It's hard to believe it's been six years since I begun studying the strange and wondrous secrets of Gravity Falls, Oregon.'"
He then started to flip through the pages, and both brothers were surprised to find it was full of strange creatures, and other types of things that seemed odd.
"Wow, who could've written all of this?" Lincoln asked.
"Who knows." Lucas said, and then read the last page of the journal." Unfortunately, my suspicions have been confirmed. I'm being watched. I must hide this book before he finds it. Remember: in Gravity Falls there is no one you can trust."
"Wonder what that means?" Lincoln said with a scratch of his head.
Before Dipper could answer, Leia popped up from behind.
"HALLO!"
Both boys yelped, and they turned around to find their sister, along with their other sisters, and Ronnie Anne.
"Jeez, Leia, did you get lessons from Lucy? Also, what are you guys doing here?" Lincoln asked.
"The others were getting worried because of how long you both were out here. What's with the book?" Ronnie Anne asked.
"Yeah, is it some dumb nerd thing like Lisa's books?" Lynn asked.
Lisa gave Lynn a dirty look.
"Whether it is or isn't, are you guys going to show us?" Mabel asked.
Dipper noticed Gompers the Goat nibbling the edge of the book.
"Uhhh… let's go somewhere more private."
Once they all went back to the Shack, they ended up in the living room, and both brothers were showing everyone the journal.
"It's amazing! Grunkle Stan said I was being paranoid, but according to this book, Gravity Fall has this secret dark side." Dipper said excitedly and showed everyone the book.
"No way." Mabel said and slightly pushed him.
"No offense little bro, but are you sure this is real?" Luna asked skeptically.
"Of course it is, like, it has pictures." Leni said and everyone slid their hands on their faces.
"No offense dude, but it looks like a Fantasy Book. Or maybe something Lucy might read. No offense." Ronnie Anne said.
"None taken, but the mysteriousness of it does intrigue me a little." Lucy said.
"Also I spent enough time with Sid and her family to know about different animals, and none of them look like the ones I've seen or heard about." She continued.
"I concur with our male siblings 'friend', half of the illustrations suggest that some type of creatures of Mythical origins are in these very woods. Which is preposterous." Lisa said, while also putting air quotes on the 'friend' part.
"Who cares, anything with Unicorns, Mer-people, fairies is something I would like to very much read." Lola said, who had seen those very things in the book while her brother flipped through it. "Also, Grunkle Stan probably put it there for some sap to find it and start something so he could get more money."
"I don't know little dudette, that thing was hidden too well. Stan may be trying for the whole mystery thing for his business, but I don't think he would be that creative."
Everyone voiced their agreement, even though they admitted Stan was a good businessman, they also knew the man wasn't someone to pull something so elaborate.
"Well the odd thing is, that after a certain point, the pages stop. Like the guy was writing it and mysteriously disappeared." Lincoln said.
The doorbell rings before anyone can say anything else.
"Who's that?" Dipper asked.
"Well time to spill the beans." Mabel said and knocked over a can of beans. "Which I just did."
Luan giggled and said," Wow, Lei that was good, you've really knocked me over with that one." She said and both of them laughed while everyone else groaned irritably.
"But in all seriousness. I got a date! Whoop, whoop!" Mabel cheered.
"Really? That fast? It's only been half-an-hour since Luke and I were gone." Lincoln said.
"What can I say? I guess I'm just irresistible!" Mabel said and went to the front door.
"What did we miss?" Dipper said.
"This is the first we're hearing of this." Lori said surprised and everyone agreed.
"Alright, but can you guys keep this a secret? The Journal says to trust no one but I trust you guys."
"And you and possibly Bobby?" Lincoln asked Ronnie Anne.
"Sure thing, lame-o. And I'm pretty sure Bobby will to." Ronnie Anne said.
"Even though I literally don't believe whatever is in that book, sure thing." Lori said.
"Same here bro." Luna agreed, and the others voiced their agreement.
"What's happening?" Grunkle Stan asked when he came into the living room.
Dipper hid the Journal and everyone acted normally.
"Nothing Grunkle Stan, Leni was showing us… Gold Chain's for Old Men Magazine?" Lori said in confusion, after she randomly picked a magazine near her.
Leni had a confused expression and said, "No I wasn't, weren't we…"
She didn't get to finish because Lincoln put a hand to her mouth before she could finish.
"That's a good issue. It's nice of you to get into real fashion."
Leni scrunched her face confusion and disgust, she didn't make clothing that old and ugly but she had to guess it had something to do with that book her brother had found and she realized she had to keep it a secret.
And people called her dumb sometimes.
"Your right Grunkle Stan, the chains… highlight his hair and your hair." She said.
She was glad Miguel, Fiona, Jackie or Mandee weren't there at the moment. They all agreed gold chains were something that wasn't fashionable. And even saying that gave her the shivers.
"Hey, family! Say hello to my new boyfriend!" They heard Leia say.
Everyone looked at the boy Mabel introduced. The boy wore dark clothes, a semi ripped jacket, some twigs in his hair, and some of the hair was covering his left eye. He looked as pale as Lucy, and he also looked slightly awkward.
"Sup." The boy said.
"Hey…" Lucas said, not sure what to make of him.
Lincoln shared the same feeling, and said," Yeah, same."
"How's it hanging?" Stan greeted.
"We met at the cemetery. He's real deep like Lucy." Mabel felt his arm and said," Oh. Little muscle there. Say, you don't have a brother do you? I could set him up with my sister Lucy."
"I'm an only child." He said.
"Oh, sorry Lucy." Mabel said.
"It's alright." Lucy slightly grinned, knowing her sister meant well.
"So what's your name?" Lincoln asked.
"Uh. Normal… MAN!" He said.
"He means Norman." Mabel corrected.
"Alright… I'm Lori, Leia eldest sister and the other's are her brothers and sisters." Lori greeted.
"Are you bleeding?" Lucy asked, as she saw some red stuff on his cheek. "And can I have it?"
"It's jam." He said.
Mabel gasped and said," I love jam! Look. At. This!"
"So, you wanna hold hands or, whatever?"
Mabel giggled and said," Oh, oh, my goodness. Don't wait up!" She said and left the room.
Norman points at everyone and then run's into the walls a couple of times and then leaves.
"Well, there's something off about him." Dipper said.
"I think he's alright… he's probably in his awkward stage right now." Lori said.
"That or he's nervous around girls, completely understandable." Lola said.
Both Loud boys didn't believe so, and they both looked at each other, and nodded, knowing they should investigate.
The both of them went up to the attic to look through the Journal, to see if any of the creatures fit the description of Norman, and they may have found one.
Lincoln read the text, and felt more worried as he read," Known for their pale skin and bad attitude, these creatures are often mistaken for teenager!"
Dipper continued where his brother left off, "Beware of Gravity Fall's nefarious…"
The picture in the journal showed a zombie, and once they compared the picture to Norman, they realized what he was.
"ZOMBIE!" They both yelled in terror.
Meanwhile during that time, Lori and Leni were in the living room, Lori was on her phone, while Leni was reading a magazine.
Leni looked around when she heard the noise.
"Hey Lori, did you hear something?"
Lori, who was distracted, said," No why?"
"I thought I heard someone say 'crombie'."
Lori looked up from her phone with a confused face, and said," That's literally not a word."
Back in the attic, the boys then saw something from the window, and saw Norman walking towards Mabel, with outstretched arms.
"Oh no. Oh no. Mabel!" They both said in fear when Norman put his hands around their sisters neck.
But they were relieved once they realized he was putting a necklace of flowers around her neck.
"Oh jeez, that was close. Say, you don't think we're overacting about this, right Dip?" Lincoln asked.
Dipper was having the same thoughts, when he said aloud," Maybe, I mean, our sister can't be really dating a zombie. Is she?"
"It's a dilemma, to be sure."
Both boys yelped in surprise, they were mostly expected it to be Lucy sneaking up on them as always, but this time, it was just Soos, who was busy screwing in a light bulb.
"Oh, hey Soos." Lincoln greeted.
"Sup dude. I couldn't help but overhear you both talkin' about your issue."
"Soos, you've seen Mabel's boyfriend. He's gotta be a zombie, right?"
Soos thought about for a moment, and said," How many brains didja see the guy eat?"
Lucas realized the key fact that they haven't seen Norman done, and admitted. "Zero."
Lincoln thought about it for a moment, and said," Well, the guy seems sorta stiff when walking, and he does talk with type of gruffness as if he doesn't speak much."
"Look dudes, I believe you. I'm always noticing weird stuff in this town. Like the mailman? Pretty sure the dude's a werewolf. But you gotta have evidence, otherwise people are gonna think you're majorly cuckoo clock." Soos explained.
Both brothers nodded, when they have thought someone wasn't what they seemed back home, or if there was something off, they would always investigate, and look for clues before accusing or coming to a conclusion.
They guessed with the newfound knowledge of the Journal, they were in uncharted territory now.
"As always Soos, you're right."
Soos nodded, and said," My wisdom is both a blessing and a curse."
"Soos! Lana! The portable toilets are clogged again!" Stan shouted from somewhere else.
"Woohoo! This'll be fun!" Lana shouted in excitement from somewhere in the shack.
"I am needed elsewhere." Soos said and back out of the room.
'It was with that, my brother and I went to find evidence.' Dipper narrated.
The two of them spent the day following Mabel and Norman. Throughout their time they noticed how Norman acted odd, from not being able to catch a Frisbee and falling, to breaking a door to let himself and Mabel into the diner, while also stumbling and crashing into tables, and also Norman falling into an open grave, and crawling out.
At the last one, Lincoln wrote down everything they saw, while Dipper was the one who filmed everything.
"Think we got enough?" Lincoln asked.
"Most definitely."
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, both brothers tried to convince their sister, but she wouldn't believe them. And it only made her mad at them, and once she had literally closed the door on them, they felt bad, and started to question what they were lead to believe. And this also lead to them telling everyone what they thought at moment, after they had saw Leia leave again with Norman for another date.
"Well, I can see where your guys hearts where, but you literally jumped the gun." Lori said.
"Yes, and also the reanimation of one's cadaver is nothing but poppycock. Although some would say it's theoretical at best, but the point being is that you jumped to a very convoluted conclusion." Lisa said.
Luna scratched her chin, figuring out what her sister said, and then asked," But, if you could, could you do that?"
Lisa shook her head," I may be a woman of science, but there are some lines I will not cross in the name of science. Bringing something or someone back to life after an extended period of time as a cadaver being one such line."
"If only she held the same belief regarding doing her experiments on us." Lola whispered to Lana, who nodded in agreement.
"Sigh, if only it was true." Lucy dejectedly said, and Lynn patted her shoulder in comfort, even though she didn't believe in any of that junk, but she felt bad for them.
"Yeah, I mean, really? A zombie? I will admit the guy seems a little off, but you guys were following him around all day, and he could've done something during that time." Ronnie Anne said.
Lucas and Lincoln sighed, as they went through the footage again, they couldn't believe that they jumped to that conclusion, and made sure to remind themselves to apologize to Mabel later, once she returned.
"Man, Soos was right. We didn't have any real evidence." Dipper said as he reviewed the footage.
"Yeah, I mean, we can get paranoid sometimes… WHAT THE HECK?!" Lincoln yelped at the same time as Dipper.
The Loud Sisters and Ronnie Anne were surprised by the outburst, and the look of pure shock on the two boy's features. This lead to them crowding around them, to see what the camera had.
"What's wrong?" Lori asked concerned.
Dipper wordlessly rewound the footage, and pressed play. The video showed Norman having his arm around Mabel, and they were facing the other direction. The hand behind Mabel's back comes off, he then glances around, and then reattaches it. Just to make sure their eyes weren't playing tricks on them, they played it again with the same results.
"Vaca sagrada!" Ronnie Anne yelped in shock. (1)
"Holy shamoly!" Lynn said as her draw dropped.
"H-he's literally a zombie!" Lori exclaimed.
"Holy Einstein!" Lisa gasped, trying to wrap her head around at such a thing.
"Wow, I got hand it to you two, you were right." Luan said and laughed nervously.
Lola who was frozen, snapped out of her frozen state, grabbed her older sister by her shirt, and said," How can you laugh at a time like this?!"
Luan gave her a glare, and said," It's how I cope okay?!"
"Sigh, I never knew the end would come to one of us so soon." Lucy said.
Leni burst into tears, and said," A zombie is going to eat my sister's brain!"
This sent off a chain reaction of everyone talking fearfully, or crying, and also starting to panic. They were only stopped when someone whistled loudly, and it ended up being Dipper.
"Okay, I know what we just saw was unbelievable, but we have to save Mabel. Let's go!"
"Right!" Everyone said.
"Good, let's go get Stan as well." Lincoln said.
They all ran out of the house, and found Stan showing a bunch of tourists something.
"And here we have The Rock That Looks Like A Face Rock: The Rock That Looks Like A Face."
"Does it look like a rock?" A tourist asked.
"No, it looks like a face."
"Is it a face?" Another asked.
Stan looked increasingly annoyed when he replied," It's a rock that looks like a face!"
The other tried to get Stan's attention but to no avail. Lincoln then noticed Wendy was driving one of the carts, and motioned everyone to follow him, except for Leni, who was still standing with tourists.
"Wait, like is it a face rock or a rock face?" She asked, and the tourists started to ask that very question, much to Stan's annoyance.
Lori walked over to her, and dragged her to the cart, where she got into the driver's seat, once she got the keys from Lincoln. She was about to take off, but Soos stopped them.
"Dudes, it's me Soos. This is for the Zombies." He said and handed Lincoln a shovel. "And this is in case you see a piñata." He then handed a bat to Ronnie Anne.
"Uh, thanks cuz." She said, a little unsure, but thankful.
Soos nodded, and Lori then took off. Bobby then approached his cousin, and he just saw them leave.
"Where they going?" He asked.
"They went off to save their sister, and defeat a zombie." Soos simply said.
"Okay, that's makes sense… wait what?"
Meanwhile, Mabel and Norman were in the woods, standing in silence, until Norman turned around to her.
"Uh, Mabel, now that we've gotten to know each other, there's… there's something I should tell you."
"Oh, Norman, you can tell me anything! Please be a vampire, please be a vampire." She thought the last part.
"All right, just… just don't freak out, okay? Just keep an open mind, be cool!" He said, and unzips his hoodie, and threw it to the side. To reveal that he wasn't a person, but a group of five Gnomes standing on top of each other.
"Is this weird? Is this too weird? Do you need to sit down?" The gnome at the top asked.
Whatever Mabel was expecting, she didn't expect that her boyfriend would be a bunch of gnomes. Her only response was to stare in disbelief and let her jaw drop.
"R-right. I'll explain. So! We're gnomes. First off. Get that one outta the way. I'm Jeff, and here we have Carson, Steve, Jason and… I'm sorry, I always forget your name."
The gnome that was on the bottom right replied," Shmebulock."
Jeff snaps his fingers, and said," Shmebulock! Yes! Anyways, long story short, us gnomes have been lookin' for a new queen! Right guys?"
"Queen! Queen! Queen!" The other gnomes chanted.
Leia couldn't help but wonder for second on how Lola would feel or react if she was in this situation.
Would she be flattered like how she normally acted? Or would she be as at a loss as she was right now?
"Heh. So what do you say?" Jeff then tapped Steve with his foots, and he and the other gnomes moved into the kneeling proposing position, while Steve held out the ring. "Will you join us in holy matrignomey? Matri… matri-mo-ny! Blah! Can't talk today!"
Mabel took a moment to choose her words, and then said," look… I'm sorry, guys. You're really sweet, but, I'm a girl, and your gnomes, and it's something that won't work. Sorry."
"We understand. We'll never forget you Mabel, even though your real name is Leia." Jeff sadly said.
Mabel smiled, happy she was able to get out of the situation.
"Cause we're gonna kidnap you."
"That's good… wait what?"
Jeff jumped at her with yell, and Mabel screamed.
The others were close enough to hear Mabel's scream, and Lori stepped on the gas pedal to go faster. As soon as they got to where they heard Mabel screamed, they were met with a strange sight. Mabel wasn't being attacked by a brain eating Zombie but Gnomes, who were tying her up. Everyone stared at the situation in confusion and was trying to process what was happening.
"What the heck is going on here?!" Dipper said.
One of them hissed at them and Lynn tapped the bat she was holding onto her hand menacingly and it backed off.
"Guys! Norman turned out to be a bunch of gnomes! And they're total jerks! Ow! Hair! Hair! Hair!" She said the last part as one of them pulled her hair.
"Gnomes?" Lincoln said confused.
"Aw! They're adorable." Leni gushed.
"Gnomes? Looks like we were way off Linc. Gnomes: little men of Gravity Falls Forest. Weakness: unknown." Dipper said, as he read the Journal.
Lori walked up to the leader and said," You untie and leave our sister alone you bearded weirdo's!"
The leader looked nervous and said," Oh! Ha, ha, hey there! Um, you know, this is all really just a big misunderstanding. You see, your sister is not in danger. She's marrying all of one thousand of us and becoming our Gnome Queen for all eternity! Isn't that right honey?"
"You guys are butt-faces!" Mabel said and one of them covered her mouth.
"Awe! Can I be a Bridesmaid for your guy's wedding?" Leni asked, and the others groaned.
"Alright, you give our sister back or else." Dipper said, and motioned at Lynn and Ronnie Anne, who held the Bat and shovel, respectively.
Jeff turned serious, and said," You all think you can stop us? You have no idea what we're capable of. The gnomes are a powerful race! Do not trifle with the –"
He didn't get a chance to finish, due to Lynn swatting him away with the bat. Ronnie Anne cut the rope with the shovel, which allowed Mabel to free again. Everyone then ran back to the cart, and Lori floored it out of there.
"They're getting away with our queen! They messed with the wrong creatures. Gnomes of the forest… ASSEMBLE!" Jeff called.
Various gnomes come out of the forest, and they begin to stack up, and start to create something.
"That was literally the most stupidest things to ever happen." Lori said as she drove.
"You ok sis?" Lana asked.
"Fine, stupid Gnomes." Mabel said.
Leni looked worried, and said," Like, shouldn't we go faster? They could catch up."
"Doubtful, those little guys are short. There's no way they'll catch up." Ronnie Anne said with a scoff.
Before anyone could respond, a loud rumbling sound was heard behind them, and Lori stopped the cart. They all turned around to come face-to-face to a giant gnome monster made out of gnomes.
"Whoa." Ronnie Anne said stunned.
"G-giant Gnome." Lola muttered in fear.
"I don't know whether I should be scared or find it cool." Lana said.
Jeff was at the top shouting orders."Alright, teamwork guys! Like we practiced!"
The gnome let out a giant roar, and raised its fist.
"DRIVE!" Everyone yelled at Lori.
Lori floored it and drove off, with the giant fist hitting the ground where the cart was. When it didn't hit anything, it ran after them.
"It's getting closer!" Mabel said.
"Come back with our queen!" Jeff yelled, and the giant gnome started to throw gnomes at the cart, who then start to cause havoc.
This caused everyone to try and get rid of the gnomes, either by punching, pushing, kicking or hitting them with something.
"Batter up!" Lynn yelled and wacked a couple of with her bat.
"Never thought I would be whacking Lawn Gnomes during our Summer Vacation. But this is awesome!" Lana said with a huge smile and punched a gnome.
"Totally agree with you on that sis!" Lynn said.
"Well, my Abuela did Bobby and mines fortune before we left for Gravity Falls. She said our trip would be interesting. I didn't believe her until now." Ronnie Anne said as she hit gnome with the shovel.
She wasn't kidding, she honestly didn't believe the trip to Gravity Falls would be interesting. Sure, they had visited Soos and his Abuela before, with the visits always being boring. And they had never seen anything like this when they visited before this trip.
"I'm still figuratively wrapping my mind around the fact that mythological creatures from mythology or how some people call it, Fairy Tales, may actually be real." Lisa said and ducked when a Gnome nearly hit her head.
Shmebulock was then thrown, and latched himself onto Dipper's face, and he screamed in pain when he started to scratch him. This caused Lincoln, Mabel and Lynn to repeatedly punch him, and also Dipper, until the gnome, and Dipper's hat, to be knocked off.
"Thanks, guys?" He said a little dazed.
"Don't mention it." Mabel said.
The Gnome threw a tree at them and went right into their path and Lori tried to get out of the way, but she ended up swerving, and caused the cart to spin, and crash nearby the shack. Everyone crawled out from the cart, with them all looking disheveled and a little bruised.
"Ugh, nice driving Lori." Lola said and picked some leaves out of her hair.
"I'm sorry, do you have a license? Right, you don't." Lori shot back.
The Gnome giant approached them, with Lynn and Ronnie Anne throwing the bat and shovel at the Gnome, but it punches them away like it was nothing.
"Where's Grunkle Stan where you need him?" Leni said asked frightened.
"And my brother." Ronnie Anne said with a gulp.
Stan was inside the shack, showing a couple of tourists an attraction.
"Behold! The world's most distracting object." He said and pulled the cord, so the swirly pattern started to move.
"Oooh." The tourists said, mesmerized.
"Just try to look away, you can't! I can't even remember what I was talking about."
Bobby walked over to Stan and said," Hey boss, did you hear… wow… what was I talking about?" He asked, as he was getting distracted as well.
"It's the end of the line kids! Mabel, marry us before we do something crazy! But if you can hook us up with your other sister in the dress, then we'll take her instead." Jeff said and pointed at Leni.
"I don't want to stand and protect a lawn all day!" Leni fearfully said.
"Hey! That's kind of job is very demeaning and degrading to us!" Jeff said offended.
"There's gotta be a way out of this! Anyone goes any ideas? Lisa?" Dipper asked.
"Unfortunately no, I thought of all scenarios and they come out bad and I'm still processing on how this could all possibly be real." She said.
"I gotta do it." Mabel said.
"What?!" Everyone said in shock.
"Trust me guys, I got this." Mabel said and walked over to them.
"Oh boy." Lincoln said.
"All right, Jeff. I'll marry you."
Jeff climbed down from the Gnome monster and said," Hot dog! Oh boy."
He brought out a ring and placed it on Mabel's hand.
"Bada-bing, bada-bam! Now let's get you back into the forest, honey!"
"You may now kiss the bride!"
"Well, don't mind if I do." He said and leaned up to kiss Mabel.
Mabel looked like she was going to kiss hi, but in reality, she needed the distraction to get the leaf blower, in which she turned it on reverse, and aimed it at Jeff.
Jeff looked in shock and said, "Ah! Hey, hey wait a minute! Whoa, whoa! Wh-what's goin' on?!" He said and then got sucked halfway into the Leaf Blower.
"That's for lying to me! And that's for breaking my heart!" she said as she increased the power and Jeff was in the blower.
"And THIS is for messing with my family! And also friend of the family. Who wants to do the honors?" Mabel said with a smile.
"I'll give it a go." Lynn said with a devilish smile and aimed it at the Gnomes once Mabel handed her the leaf blower.
"You're off by a centimeter if you want maximum velocity." Lisa said and corrected her aim.
"Thanks sis. Now this is what you get for messing with my sister and the Loud Family!" Lynn said and hit reverse.
Jeff shot out of the Blower with him screaming and he shot through the giant Gnome. Once he did, it fell apart and the Gnomes fell to the ground, and some of them ran back into the forest. While other's were whacked into the forest by shovels or bats.
"Wow, we sure did, blow them away. Ha, ha!" Luan said and everyone, minus Mabel, groaned.
"Thanks you guys for all of that. Also sorry for yelling at you two earlier when I didn't believe you." Mabel said.
"No sweat Lei, we look out for each other." Lincoln said.
"Yeah and also, if you want relationship advice, that doesn't have to do with literally impossibly real mythical creatures, we're here, minus Lucas and Lincoln." Lori said and everyone nodded.
"Thanks now, group hug? There's also room for you too Ronnie Anne." Mabel said with open arms.
Ronnie Anne shrugged with a small grin, and said," Eh sure, why not."
Everyone nodded and hugged. After that, they walked into the Gift Shop, where they found Grunkle Stan counting money, and Bobby was sweeping the floor.
Bobby then noticed their state, and went to his girlfriend to see if she was alright.
"Babe, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Boo-Boo-Bear. I'll explain later." Lori said.
"Yeesh. Did you all get hit by a bus or something? Ha!" Stan said with a laugh.
Everyone gave him an annoyed look and started walking away but soon stopped when they heard Stan voice being cleared.
"Uh, hey! W-wouldn't you know it? Either me or Lincoln accidentally overstocked some inventory, so, uh… how's about each of you take one item from the gift shop? On the house, y'know? The same goes for you two." He said the last part to the Santiago siblings.
"Really?" Lori said surprised.
"What's the catch?" Lincoln said with crossed arms.
"The catch is do it before I change my mind, now take something." He said.
Everyone shrugged and started to look around. Lori and Bobby found matching cell phone cases, Leni found a necklace that had an 'L' on it. Luna found a keychain with a small guitar, Luan found a Whoopee Cushion that had Mystery Shack on it, Lynn found a bat that was actually made of Oak and had Mystery Shack on it as well. Lincoln got a small book about Wilderness Survival, and Ronnie Anne got a new skateboard with the Mystery Shack logo. Dipper found a new hat to replace the one he lost, Lucy decided to get a skull from the shelf. Lola managed to find a pink pillow that had a Tiara on it, Lana found a new utility belt to put her tools in, and Lisa found a scientific kit that was used for the outdoors.
Everyone looked at Mabel, who was hiding something.
"I choose… Grappling Hook! She said and revealed it.
Everyone looked confused, and wondered why she would pick that, also why it was in the gift shop in the first place.
"Wouldn't you like a doll or something?" Stan asked.
Mabel's answer was to fire the it at the ceiling and it pulled her up when she pressed a button.
"Wow, I'm hooked on a feeling that's a no. Ha, ha!" Luan said with a laugh with Mabel and Luna.
Luna giggled and said," Nice one dude."
Luna held out her hand out for high-five, and Luan gave it to her. But she was then shocked by Luan's Joy Buzzer. Luan and everyone else laughed, while Luna fumed for a moment, but then started to laugh as well.
Later that night, everyone was in bed, except for Dipper who was writing in the Journal in the room he shared with Mabel, Lincoln and Luna. He soon finished and said.
"Hey Luna, could you get the light?"
"You got it bro." She said but Mabel stopped her.
"I got this." Mabel aimed her Grappling hook at the light and knocked it out and busted a window.
Everyone was asleep except Stan, who was in the gift shop and he typed something on the Vending Machine key pad and it revealed a door, he looked around suspiciously to make sure no one was there and went down to where the stairs went to and the Vending Machine closed behind him.
