Martin will visit Sheila in her ward when she has someone with her. He first peered to see who it was, and the sight astonished him. His whole body trembled at the sight, and he didn't know what emotion to express now; anger and sadness mixed at what he witnessed.
He could see with his own eyes how the two were kissing, seemingly oblivious to their surroundings. He didn't tell Sheila that he would visit to surprise her; instead of Sheila being surprised, he was the one who was surprised.
He took a deep breath; he was controlling his emotions now.
Have those two been in a relationship for a long time? Martin couldn't help but wonder in his mind.
That's why she insisted on being our lawyer, because she was having an affair with him. He smiled then; he wouldn't go in just yet, wanting to calm everything down.
Martin, your karma is so fast. He just shook his head and let out a small laugh.
He tried to call her, but she didn't answer because Sheila was still making out with the person. Justine just shook his head.
Martin weakly walked out of the hospital and is now in the car. He couldn't face the two directly; it was only now that he realized how hard his ex-wife had endured being with him, even though Sharlene knew he was cheating on her behind her back.
He struck the target directly in front of him.
"Damn this! Damn this! When I finally got serious with a woman, I ended up being played like this!" Martin said furiously, he said to himself.
If you've been in a relationship for a long time, you've been fooling me for a long time, Sheila. I was even willing to do anything for your happiness. He could only say it in his mind.
He couldn't let it go unpunished; he thought his ex-wife hadn't avenged him.
Only the devil doesn't take revenge. I will keep playing your games, Sheila. I will keep playing whatever it is you want from me. He could only say it in his mind.
He was already driving, trying to shake off the terrible thing he saw, when his phone suddenly vibrated. He looked to see who was calling. It was already late at night, so he decided not to continue, fearing he might disturb the two.
He frowned. He didn't expect Sharlene to call him. He immediately answered it.
They were both silent; he heard her clear her throat before she spoke.
"Your advance payment to the child has been a tremendous help, thank you. That's all, and good night." After saying this, Sharlene immediately hung up the call.
He just sighed. He never loved Sharlene. What happened between them in college was due to alcohol and drunkenness; he got her pregnant unexpectedly. They're total strangers; they both attend the same school.
He just ended up with his friend who loves to party at the club, and his girlfriend is his classmate and friend.
"Hey Martin, come with me to the club tonight; you want to unwind, right?" He put his arm around him and invited him to drink again.
He sighed then because their internship was ending and they were graduating, so he went with him.
"Who are you with?" Martin asked his friend to invite him.
His friend even smiled at him. "Who else could it be but my girlfriend? I know you have many women now, Martin." Martin even laughed at him.
He only shook his head. When they arrived at the club, his girlfriend immediately greeted them. He noticed a woman accompanying the girl, whose face clearly indicated her unfamiliarity with this type of environment.
"Sorry about my friend; she was just forced into it." The woman ended up saying to them,.
The two were in their world, so he just stayed at the table drinking; he wasn't in the mood to flirt with the woman right now, so he just watched quietly.
"Hey, what's your name?" Feeling tipsy now, he turned his attention to her. The music was getting louder, and the people inside were getting wilder. They could no longer see the two people they came with.
He would rather not leave the club alone, so he pulled a woman who was surprised by his action, and she was trying to break free from him.
"Just stay with me here; I'm getting deaf from the noise. Besides, you haven't answered my question yet." Martin, who was carrying alcohol at the time, spoke.
"Sharlene Rosario." Her answer to his question was short.
"Martin Francisco. Nice to meet you." He even took the hand of his new acquaintance.
It just nodded at him, and his body was getting warm at that moment. The woman, who was frowning at him, remained silent and stared at him, so he gave her some alcohol.
"It's not a nice thing to do that I'm the only one drinking alcohol here. Have some shots." He invited Sharlene to take a gulp of the alcohol.
"I don't drink alcohol." Sharlene denies it and shook her head.
"Just this once," Martin said; he was already feeling dizzy because he had drunk too much tonight.
He was still holding a small glass when he offered his companion a drink. Martin simply sighed at Sharlene, accepted it, and took a sip, despite her unfamiliarity with it.
He was even laughing back then because she wanted to throw up what she had drunk. He even gave Sharlene three more shots.
"I don't want to anymore; I'm going home. My head hurts." Sharlene walked around as if she was about to fall.
"I'll walk you home, then I'll go home too." Martin said to her.
"I don't want someone who's drunk to drive me home; we might get into an accident." She was about to walk away from him, but he immediately pulled her back and kissed her on the lips.
Because of his drunkenness, he did that. Martin just smiled, and the woman in front of him was shocked. She was about to slap him when he kissed her again.
He pulled her towards his car, took Sharlene home, and she couldn't refuse either because she was also drunk, until something happened between the two of them.
The next day, while he had a hangover, he woke up next to a woman, and it was Sharlene.
His companion also jolted awake; without saying a word, she stood up and got dressed.
"Nothing happened between us." That's all he heard from Sharlene, and she quickly left, even though she didn't know the way home.
Even if they deny it, evidence remains from that night when they were drunk.
"Ouch." As he rubbed his temple, a complaint crept into his mind.
He was startled when his phone vibrated then; he unintentionally remembered how they started a family and had a child because of that night.
He looked to see who was calling him, and he just frowned at who it was. He immediately answered the call, even though he had no idea and saw nothing earlier.
