Inside the Hogwarts Library which seems to be Felix's second home or more like his third home. Since he probably spent most of his time here with bitter tears. He wouldn't mind if he was doing his own research, but his effort was spent elsewhere. Such as the many packets of new worksheets he has to complete. Each thicker than the previous packet he had.
"What did you do to have the teacher punish you so much?" Angel asked.
"I rewrote the books used in class using magic circles to achieve the same effect. Apparently it was a wrong approach to subvert their views of their branches of magic they teach." Felix explained.
"I would say." John smiled at his friend's misfortune.
"Still, using magic circles? I only really heard it is used in some branches of Alchemy. Can you teach us?" Angel asked.
"I won't say no since it's pretty simple once you understand the concept. Only, aren't you still trying to learn non-verbal and wandless magic, Angel?" Felix asked.
"Magic circles sound fun. Besides, I almost got the hang of non-verbal spells." Angel said proudly.
"I don't mind giving it a shot." John nodded with a sigh.
It wasn't the first time he was dragged into something by either of his friends. He also didn't mind it since it seems interesting and opens up more branches in the future.
"I will write the general overview of magic circles and make a textbook. I will also prepare a couple copies I sent out as gifts." Felix sighed at his busy schedule.
After some thinking, he had decided he would enchant a quill, ink and a glove to transcribe and make copies of the books. Something he rubbed his chin about as thought about doing the same with the rarer books in the library. Since one couldn't be considered a proper wizard without a library full of rare or many books, right?
"What are you thinking about?" Angel asked.
"Enchanting a few things to transcribe some of the rarer books in the library. Anyways, that is something to think about later. Right now, it is time to begin these packets." Felix explained with bitter tears.
"Well, we are doing Potion's first, why don't you start with that one." John suggested.
Opening up the potion packet, Felix looked at the first page. Where he found the recipe to Antidote to Common Poisons and the question. For he was to describe why the potion is created this way and extra points if alternate or improvement that can work are listed.

A month soon flew by in a flash for Felix due to his busy schedule. From making a few more sales allowing his money to grow, his knowledge reserves increased more. Between digging himself out of his homework, helping Angel and John with non-verbal casting and magic circles. Felix has dived into the wonders of color changing charms allowing him to create his next gadget for sale after he does some testing.
Now standing in the Great Hall, Felix stood proudly before John and Angel while only a few others glanced over in curiosity. Since he wasn't being secretive about it as he raised his hand showing a small dial that was about the size of an average adult hand.
"I have completed something amazing." Felix lifted his chin appearing proud. "I have created a Color Dial."
Felix soon deflated as both John and Angel just stared at him without saying anything. There was no reaction like he was expecting despite it being something cool in his opinion. Well, maybe it wasn't super complex or ground shatter, but it still a neat toy to play with. So much when he gets around to writing a beginner book to enchanting, he might just include how to make it.
"What have you made?" John came to the rescue.
Felix smiled as he began to turn the dial. Suddenly his robe he was wearing began to cycle through various colors as he slowly turned the dial. He went through all the colors of the rainbow and a few more basically covering all the bases while also including a slider on the side. So they can adjust the hue of the color if they want it darker or neon bright.
"Neat isn't it." Felix said.
"I guess, but wouldn't the color changing charm work the same?" John asked.
"Children, they don't have wands and everyone doesn't really care to learn the color changing spell. I figured it might be popular with children that haven't learned magic or women who want to try a different color of an outfit." Felix said. "It's fairly simple to make and easier to mass produce than the reading glasses and hoverboards."
As for the Light Pen, while not difficult, didn't really appeal to many for some reason. Beside Flitwick and the Headmaster, none of the other professors cared much about it. Professor McGonagall seems to dislike it more, mainly either due to the trail of light or it was made by Felix.
"Why don't you make the Philosopher's Stone?" John asked.
"What is the point of making that rock, it's not very cheap to make a decent one? So I doubt many would want to buy it due to how expensive it is." Felix answered. "Even the gold isn't sold for much in the wizarding world."
Mainly due to curiosity, while he was bored after Christmas and knowing that his two friends were interested in the rock. He did a bit more research into them and found that there are various qualities among them. Low qualities one would make something similar to fools gold, while high quality ones could make gold. As for the Elixir of Life that too differs and judging by how frail Flamel is, his Philosopher's Stone is of average quality, not great but not terrible either.
"If you prove you made one, then many would come to buy your trinkets. After all, it would prove you are a master alchemist." John said.
"Alright, we can make one next year. It will take about half a year to make and prepare the items needed. Since you guys are so adamant about making it, you might as well make your own too." Felix sighed.
He really didn't care that much about the stone since he has other ways to get gold and as for the elixir of life. He has other ways to grant immortality or longevity so it didn't appeal to him much either. So at most it could be a power source for things in the future, or he might just give it to Dumbledore to use it how he likes.
"We are making one too?" Angel and John looked at each other and then at him.
"Yeah, why not. Let's go find the Headmaster to get permission to borrow the Quidditch Pitch next year for it." Felix said as he began walking. "Maybe he would invite Nicholas Flamel. It would be interesting to meet him."
"Is it necessary to bother the Headmaster about this?" Angel said, looking a bit hesitant.
"A few items we need to prepare are a bit special and if we get his permission, then Professor Slughorn and Sprout won't need as much convincing." Felix shrugged.
"I'm getting slightly worried about this if that's the case." John murmured.
"It's just a couple of the items that are a bit…special. Since we are making this rock, we might as well make it high quality." Felix said unconcerned. "Don't worry the items aren't forbidden or illegal, just rare so it will take a while to prepare them."
Both of them let out a sigh of relief, before saying something that made Felix stop in his tracks.
"I thought we were going to see the Headmaster." John said.
"Isn't this the way there?" Felix asked.
"No." Angel shook her head.
In the end, John took the lead and due to not knowing the password to the Headmaster Office. Well, not even knowing if Dumbledore was even at Hogwarts, they made a detour to Professor McGonagall's Office. Where they were met with a stern professor. After explaining the reason about a magical project they want to work towards and needing the Quidditch Pitch for a day next year to complete it due to the space. She finally relented and would tell them when Dumbledore has a moment when he returns to meet with them.
