It had taken a few days for the busy Headmaster to squeeze a bit of time to meet with the trio. So after dinner, Felix found himself alongside John and Angel inside the Headmaster Office. Where he saw a bunch of portraits of the previous Headmasters and Headmistresses on the walls. Many were either pretending to sleep or were off into different portraits.
Shifting his attention away from them, he noticed various trinkets either spinning or sitting in various spots. Thus making the office look fairly busy and cluttered to a degree. While a small library of books on the second layer which probably held his own or books Dumbledore doesn't really want kept in the restricted section.
Then Felix's eyes finally fell upon the aged wizard behind the desk who was writing something with a quill. His blue eyes looked through his half moon glasses that sat upon his crooked nose and long white beard. Before he leaned back into his chair and smiled at the three offering them a seat.
"So I hear you wanted to meet with me. Professor McGonagall didn't really state why besides needing to borrow the Quidditch Pitch next year for a magic experiment for a day." Headmaster Dumbledore said.
Angel's mouth began to move but no sound came out, while John made a few sounds but it couldn't be considered even broken English. It had seemed that their star worship for Dumbledore had stunned them alongside mixing with being in the Headmaster Office. Felix guessed these two conditions combined made them speechless with freight.
Which just made the Headmaster smile awkwardly before shifting his attention to Felix. Who just pulled out a journal he was carrying and handed it over to the Headmaster. Then he went on to explain since he couldn't count on his two friends apparently.
"These two were interested in creating a Philosopher's Stone. So we need to borrow the Quidditch Pitch to create it next school year. Since I figured it was a wide enough space to craft them." Felix explained simply. "They said if I create one, my trinkets will sell more, so I can fund my projects in the future better. So since they were interested in the creation of one, I thought it would be fine if they made their own too."
The Headmaster lightly nodded with a bit of speechlessness to that logic. Since many alchemists spend most of their lives trying to create this stone. Only to fail while Nicholas Flamel is the only known creator, yet now the boy before him wanted to create three of them. Not only does he want to create three, but mainly just because his friends were interested in creating it.
Looking over the journal, Dumbledoe looked at the items and process of creation. He could understand it due to studying Alchemy. Just even a few areas made him a bit stumped, but after a few minutes he managed to grasp a few points. Since Felix was kind enough to add points of explanation at them as well the creation of items needed.
"Is that so?" Dumbledore finally said after a minute and regather himself.
"Yes, but we need Professor Slughorn and Professor Sprout help with a couple things. While nothing big, but with Slughorn connection he should be able to the skulls we need and Sprout can help care for the World Tree sapling. Naturally we won't make them work for nothing, so I figured Professor Sprout would like a sapling of her own and Slughorn, unique sweets and wine? Actually I don't really know what Slughorn likes so, can you tell us so we can prepare it." Felix said in a couple breaths.
Dumbledore lightly hummed for a moment before shaking his head. "If it was a peaceful time, I would say yes. It would be interesting to see three stones appearing, however I can't allow it."
Holding up his hand to stop the interruption. "Due to the current Dark Lord, when he learns of these stones you created, your lives will be in immense danger, for one of his goals is immortality. He would stop at nothing to get these stones and put all those around you at immense risk."
"What a lame goal." Felix muttered. "Immortality and longevity is fine and all to strive towards, but terrorizing for such a thing. It's just pointless."
"Tom always feared death and craved power, so this wizard war is to show it." Dumbledore nodded.
Felix just shrugged as he wasn't going to start a debate with Dumbleodre about views of immortality. Some people crave it while others don't. As an old man or well one drawing closer to the elderly state. Dumbledore, like many other elderly mind set began changing and didn't care much about when his time came. Probably if he died before either bringing down Voldemort or laying out the final plan to bring him down, the man would regret it immensely. Since in the current wizarding world, he is the only one Voldemort fears, which lightly restrained the mad man.
"I am already targeted though." Felix pointed to himself.
"Those were just low rank members. If you create the Philosopher's Stone, the next time they strike will be the high ranking members or even Dark Lord himself." Dumbledore answered.
"Point taken." Felix nodded.
He isn't really worried about being attacked since he has been focused on learning various defensive spells since returning. So he hopes by the end of the school year he is able to cast various shields and magic to counter attack with. Which is a bit heavy studying, but it should help him live when Death Eaters come by again.
Now that Dumbledore pointed out that Voldemort would pay him a visit if he did make the Philosopher's Stone. It would probably be best if he didn't for the time being. Now the question is what kind of magic project should they do now? It would be a waste not to do one with Angel and John who were excited about it.
"I was hoping to use the Philosopher's Stone to help my parents a bit. They aren't very young." Angel sighed.
"Me too." John sighed.
Felix held his chin for a moment thinking if that was the case. He did have a few ideas to help the two. While not as fancy, Felix held a few trinkets blueprints that would help Angel that he hasn't really studied in depth quite yet. As for John, he had a few ways to strengthen themselves and immune system. Just similar to the trinkets he hasn't really studied the magic involved in depth quite yet.
"Noble goals, but one shouldn't push their wants onto others." Dumbledore smiled at them.
"Thank you for your time, Headmaster." John said.
Since being told no and the reason for it, even if it was just an attempt for it. John felt it was time to leave the Headmaster Office since he was sure that the man was busy. Which was mimicked by Angel as they prepared to leave, while Felix stayed in his chair.
"Alright, Miss Potter and Mister Bell, have a good evening. I will have a few words with Felix here and he will be down shortly." Dumbledore said.
"Yes, sir." John and Angel left Felix with the old man.
When the two left the office, Felix looked at Dumbledore who just looked back at him. He could tell that Dumbledore wanted something special or wanted to give a warning. Maybe creating the Philosopher's Stone may be a bit much as first or second years at Hogwarts. Since unlike him who really only thinks of it as a rock or a potential power source. Others may not and would do anything to seek it out.
"I usually encourage students to be adventurous and experiment as long as it is not too dangerous. However, for you, I think I may need to change tactics." Dumbledore sighed. "I didn't realize your gift is above what I even felt was overestimating."
"So I can't continue to make trinkets while at school?" Felix asked.
Dumbledore took a small pause as if processing his words. Since he felt dumbfounded at how a boy before him truly considered the Philosopher's Stone a trinket and nothing special. However, he soon spoke.
"I'm not banning you, just try not to make anything…like the Philosopher's Stone until you have the skills to protect it from greedy hands."
"Ok." Felix nodded. "While I haven't really researched in depth about it quite yet. Would it be acceptable to try making this with my friends?"
Felix went on to explain his idea and Dumbledore listened before nodding and eye twitching at what he was hearing. Since what Felix described to him was something that many would crave for even if it wasn't as valuable as the Philosopher's Stone it wasn't far off to some.
"Very well, but you can't sell it until you are done with Hogwarts." Dumbledore sighed. "I also request you to up your dueling skills to a level I find acceptable."
